Ciao Pietro,
I am back from a very deepening three days in the high woods and hot springs of Colorado. I really enjoyed the description of lust and love you gave to Fajin. They were my sentiments exactly.
I understand you have a website. I would like to look at it. I am also interested in the “dissolving technique” you have mentioned. Can you give me a lead on that too please.Blessings, Alexander
May 18, 2006 at 12:53 am #14092Alexander AlexisParticipantGreat Pietro! Thanks!
Is the feeling of it similar to steaming and beyond?
“Some people consider the inner smile as the watered down version of the outer dissolving (please don’t start a fight on this).”
I don’t know what you mean by asking me not to start a fight on it.
Do you consider it a watered down version?I would like to get a feel for it through you.
I’ll check out the books.Grazie, Alexander

It is the way of life force. It takes Winn’s material or Kumar personal involvement for there are some secrets in energy arts.
1.
three dissolving processes:
outer
inner
symultaneous inner and outer *2.
two breathing processes:
postnatal (first many lessons)
prenatal (last/occasional lessons)(* rare)3.
fire gate of bagua *
water gate of bagua
fire-water gate of bagua *Notice which courses energyarts publicly offers.
Note also that energyarts has a inner gate.May 19, 2006 at 1:27 am #14096Alexander AlexisParticipant“Generally the inner smile & outer dissolving seem to be very similar. The main difference (apart from the technical ones) is that the dissolving is a neutral technique. It makes you reach a place of smoothness and equanimity and neutrality, through neutrality. The smile makes you reach a place of either neutrality or +++, through ++++.”
P- As I experience it, the inner smile is the flowing of the energy of one’s original self through one’s system. While that is “positive” energy, it is actually neutral or yuan chi. This is the force, as Michael has explained it and I experience it, which dissolves/resolves the tension between the yin and yang, the issues in the system. I experience neutrality as positivity.
It may be that there is really no great difference between the two. I say this, of course, without the actual experience of Bruce’s technique, but only from the understanding that the lifeforce seems to initiate many many different practices through people according to what they need, all with the same, or relatively the same, effects. In other words, there may be quite a few ways to achieve completion since there are so many different personal combinations on earth for the lifeforce to talk with. I think IT just gets really really creative.
So, to ask it in a different way, do you think that what you are calling “through neutrality” is the same as through using yuan chi?-Alexander

It is the way of life force.”I don’t think “the way of the lifeforce” is war. I think the way of the delusional and separated human ego is war and the way of the lifeforce is harmony.

What the heck does this mean, J?
What is “It”?I would really like to understand what you are talking about but it’s way too cryptic for me. It sounds like you may be saying something valuable but if you really want to share something can you please say it in American?
Thanks, Alexander
May 19, 2006 at 1:40 am #14100FajinParticipantI don’t understand why people have such a hard time understanding Jernej.
When he said, “It takes Winn’s material or Kumar personal involvement for there are some secrets in energy arts”, he means that there is an effort needed by Winn and Kumar for secrets to be unleashed.
Up until now there was oral transmission and things were secretive until Chia, Winn, Kumar, etc. came into the picture.

But it does reveal what you were really thinking. He-heh.
That’s OK. Now we’re even for embarrassing me earlier. Thanks for the sensitivity on that one though. And thanks for the extended answer. It is helpful as I mull things over and feel into them.
Now, a different question-
As I read through Bruce’s website I found something you may be able to elucidate, if you are so moved.
Awhile back I read an article by Michael which severely challenged Bruce’s water method. You may have read it.
I am not the scholar Michael is and I tend to take his word on things when he speaks. From what I have seen of the old texts and what I know of how the lifeforce works, there is no separation between fire and water as methods. Always the texts refer to the proper mixing of fire and water. Michael’s point, as I recall, is that Bruce made up the water method.
What do you think about this?Blessings, A
May 19, 2006 at 8:07 am #14104FajinParticipantHi Pietro,
My mistake, I read Jernej’s post wrong. Didn’t see that he said Kumar’s “personal” invlolvement. This would imply that it is because of their efforts in uncovering so much of the unknown in the energy arts. For example, what other teacher other than Michael has such a unique practice of Alchemy?
He made the connection with heaven being inside the body and taking the pearl deeper inside. And his idea of immortality is ingenious. His modern translation of the energy arts is astounding. I don’t know much about Kumar, but from Jernej, I’m pretty sure he’s also done much. Bottom line is, I misread Jernej’s sentence, that’s not his fault, it’s mine.
Anyways, what’s wrong with the way he speaks. If you read my post on respecting each person for who they are you would know what I mean. There is a reason why Jernej does what he does. I think we should respect him for it. It’s not something that we would do, but he is different.
Respect those difference, my friend. If you don’t feel like wasting 10x the amount of time reading his stuff, don’t read it, no one is forcing you to do so. I choose to, so I do it because I think it may be worth the time.

FajinMay 19, 2006 at 9:11 am #14106FajinParticipantPietro,
I think you rely on intellect to understand things. You are very smart, but encoding messages is a mark of wisdom, not intellect. See through the messages. What do you make of Lao Tsu? How is his different from Jernej’s? By using terms like non-action, people think that it is literally no action.
That’s why I say try to search for the meaning. Westerners are too intellectual, they expect redundancy. This has nothing to do with your message being redundant, this is a matter of seeing with the inner eye.
You may also choose not to reply to this message, but you have already read it, so now you know, and can’t forget it!

May 19, 2006 at 9:26 am #14110wendyParticipantI once met a brilliant young guy, who explained cosmology in his own unique way, showed me his drawnings on little papers about how the universe was designed, we talked for hours how he looked at the earth and related universes. We talked for days on end, and enjoyed each others company. He was nice, gentle, warm hearted, I still remember him clearly although it was 20 years ago.
I choose him as my case study in the psychiatry ward….May 19, 2006 at 11:02 am #14112JernejParticipantmeanings within meanings
innocent initiation
of the heart in shadowYou are projecting great worth on academia.
To use …You are not one of the disciples thus you are not taught what is ‘dangerous or out cultural context’. The learning remains.
Every bagua has kan and li. And more. It is just that generaly is considered that to know one palm/one gate, you are already very achieved.
Kumar previous studies of fire (gate) and fiery nature make him ideal for water gate.
The 200+ postures is manifestation of principles. The externalization of internal movement. You can teach through body art, or through mind art, but the art is body/mind, hsing yi. Though time of teaching is always limited so different styles emerge.
Principles are always simple, though their manifestations may overwhelm. Winn is already selling 30+ recordings just for principles he teaches. So to go to the detail of Kumar proportion he can’t. As Kumar can’t go to the principles of Winn simplicity. He is already spreading great many scrolls.
