I feel that to ask one to look at there intent for doing a practice whether it be zen, chan, christianity. That this is out of love. If you have lived long and have worked in the community of a practice that some one is about to get into or is in. If you love that person you will share. You might share that you have noticed some use these practices to try to escape from there power and responsibility. What where your shen doing before you started to lead? What are your cells doing left to there own. Both wish to hear from you both want your guidance. You are the driver for the microcosm. That does not mean you do. But you are the guiding light. A important part of the team. Being present here and now is an important statement to the life force. But it is one of meany that I see. Your cells will not help you with a long life unless you tell them to stop the old pattern. I view actions as a key communication to the life force.
“with great power comes great responsibility.”
Did anyone see spider man. Very interesting mythology.

somewhere in the new testament it said someting like “a man can have all the money, power, riches, posessions, fame etc in the world. but without love, he has nothing”
because of the increase in power, perception and insight, i think it’s careful not to let a practice (of any kind ie nei dan etc) become fuel for a subltle ego-trip.
there are plenty of shady spirits and others with strong powers. without the love, power can be dangerously delusionalAugust 19, 2006 at 7:27 pm #16551PeroParticipantI think that is one of the reasons that purification practices are emphasized in the begining in many traditions, as well as moral codes, rules and stuff like that.
So you work with a pure heart/mind and don`t get so easily corrupted by power. Or that moral codes conditioning kicks in when needed…What kind of love are we talking about? Because I don`t think love is neccessesaraly (sp?) the one thing that keeps you from delusion and missuse of power. I think best way is to be neutral in an inner smilish sort of way. I guess that could be called love as well?

i was refering to the love and sincerity of heart that your original self has. if it’s difficult to elicit or remember, just look at a baby.
its not self indulgent love, egoistic, delude love…………..ok, the word love is soooo misused today.
ill just call it sincerity of heart, kindness, understanding, non-judgemental attitude
