I am always amazed that whatever cultivation I have done using the Healing Tao model and its forms has a life of its own aside from where I think I am moving. Cultivation is happening while I am busy making other plans, to change a line from John Lennon’s comment on life. But it’s true.

I opened an article up from Michael, an interview I had read many times on alchemy and went into a place of felt bodily understanding that surprised me. I haven’t been doing external forms, have been investigating another model that is mostly brain wave related yet like the labyrinth these foci just added more to my inner embodiment and understanding of this practice.

It makes me look at two perspectives. First the movement toward immortality where the body is actualized, where the quest to find out who I am is down the path of ‘how’ I am, takes a long time. Shaping one’s reality is an art and conscious skill not a moment of realization.

And this other point. As I read the article I appreciated how Michael’s articulation from the center of the labyrinth brings light to my path. That the path is mine…what I mean is it is less about adopting a model as recognizing how I perceive myself in my deeper perceptions. And articulating it dares me to embody myself.

I have the image of Rodin’s sculpture and how he carved by taking away the unnecessary and allowing the form to emerge. Just some thoughts, Barry

Now that you are living in England, might be fun to cross the channel and visit the famous labyrinth at Chartres outside Paris. That is what the cathedral is most famous for – altho the real power spot is underneath the cathedral, in a dark room beneath the high altar.

Kind of like the self – we all hold this dark inner space, and out of that invisble light shines into visble patterns around us, illuminating who we are in the moment.

    Enjoying the solstice chi,
    michael
