Has anyone come across a very small blue light in their spiritual travels or in any taoist literature?
Thanks for any sharing,
Matt

Master Ni Hua Ching wrote about in his book “Taoist Inner View of the Universe & The Immortal Realm”, Chapter 5 page 25:
The Blue Ray of Wisdom: through the subtle blue ray of wisdom one may know all the subleties and secrets of the universe, because the frequency of its energy vibrations is the same as that of secret knowledge of the universe. The subtle blue light energy is traditionally called the “heavenly secret” or the “heavely pivot”.
Bon & Tibetan esoteric schools use blue light similar to taoist practice, relate to wisdom, winter, water phase & kidney energy to nourish brain for brain potential.
Buddhist xiou lian spiritualist also use it in the same way to nourish the the mind, pineal gland to help to open the channel to reach Jiao Tian & tian wai tian(heaven & heaven above heaven).
Theres many more ways…later SnowLion

I just noticed it one day when I shut my eyes, not even meditating. Then after a number of times that it happened, I thought, hmm I ya know, I wonder what this blue small blue radiant light is all about.
I haven’t tried connecting to Vega, but I have in the past played around with Sirius, which is a “blue” star I have come to learn. Interestingly the blue is also the color of Shiva who is related to the Pineal Gland in certain traditions.

Although I have experienced a lot of light, it wasn’t anything like trying to make them come together. It is funny becuase sometimes when I see lights, I think I am supposed to do something with them 🙂

Sometimes that’s the mind talking and sometimes it’s your guidance telling you to bring the energy down into your body and circulate it through the organs and the orbit.
I don’t know where you are in regard to the Kan and Li practices but Vega is the “other” north star which the earth rotates back and forth from Polaris with because of the precession of the equinoxes. The Dipper and the North star now “regulate” our destiny according to Daoism. Vega is the yin star, like Wendy mentioned, because the north star is the primary focus now. You put those two stars together with the seven stars of the big dipper and you’ve got the 9 stars used in some feng shui and astrology systems.

I have noticed that their are several kinds of blue light.
1) As a kind of energy light; that is you are observing a quality of energy
This kind of light is enhanced through your subtle vitality and grounding – far out, just keep doing your practice, but do not read too much into it other than inspiration.3) As an inner portal. Great to explore if you have the ability (by first stabalizing and then centering within it – inwardly very awake, not asleep), but do not take it as end all (it will seem like it is).
3) As another being
Is what it is4) As your own spirit essence
(saying this for future) This type of light occurence is rarely understood for what it is and is at first glance very simular to #1 above. The knowing sense of it as a very deep part of yourself, and the viewing of the light is not so much a viewing of the light but rather like a reflection or effect upon your being that is perceived (the color is not necessarily blue). If you understand the difference, then far out. This requires an understanding this is behind personality. Otherwise it is like a brief hello and then dissapears. You can not grasp at it.
