fascinating what the ancient had figured out….

Kidney cell battery
One of the potentially useful things that a living cell can do is pump ions across its membrane. Simon Levinson, a biophysicist at the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver, US, says this generates a potential difference and so could be exploited to make a biobattery.
Levinson believes that kidney cells, which are particularly good at transporting ions, could be well suited to making a miniature battery. This would be formed by stacking up large numbers of cell layers to boost the voltage and current they can produce.
He suggests that such biobatteries might be ideal for powering devices inserted in the body, such as insulin pumps or pacemakers.
The cell culture could then draw oxygen and nutrients from the host’s bloodstream. And, if the monolayers are made from immortalised cell lines, the biobattery should live as long as the host.

Maybe this is the reasons why I got warmer during wery slow deep breathing during focusing on the origingal cavity. Or otherwaise there are some blockages loosing up.

Yes I experience the same thing when emptying the lungs completely. It should be interesting to know why.

December 31, 2007 at 9:11 am #26630Michael WinnKeymasterTotal exhale makes the lungs work harder to get chi, so they begin to convert internal chi entering from ming-men into kidney yarg to supply what oxygen normally does. I go into this relationship deeply in Qigong Fundamentals 3/4, difference between internal and external breathing.

Does this decrease the Qi in the kidneys?
