Haven’t been too active on the list recently–I’m
currently preparing to take a pretty big exam in
my graduate program. It’s one that I’ll be taking
next week Tuesday, and is one that has been hovering
over my head for about two years . . .At any rate, I have some “spooky” phenomena to share–and
I’m dead serious about this. It’s not an April Fool’s joke.1. Toward the end of last year, while driving to NC
to unwind from some stress, my vehicle overheats (ended up
missing a workshop!)
I take my vehicle in to get it fixed. It’s a “vapor lock”;
air mysteriously got into the coolant lines stopping its flow.2. Last Christmas, shortly into a two week retreat at
a hermitage, the hot water heater overheats–and begins
spewing large quantities of hot water on the floor. I
call in a plumber to fix the hot water heater, as it does
this sporadically for several days. He’s not sure what
happened, but ends up replacing several components to fix
the problem.3. A month ago, on Spring Break, while driving again.
My vehicle overheats again. I take it in to be fixed.
Cooling fans and a ground need to be replaced.4. Yesterday morning, after I finished studying the last
amount of material I need to study for the exam next week,
I return home. The temperature in my apartment starts rising.
It’s 75. I turn the heat down to 60. The heat continues to
rise. I turn the heat OFF. I open windows. I try to go to sleep.
I get up today and the temperature is 85!!! I call the
maintenance guy. He can’t figure out what the problem is.
Everything seems to be working, except with the temperature
off, heat continues to pour from my radiators. For lack
off any other idea, he goes to the boiler and shuts off
the pipes that carry heat to my apartment. So in other
words, I should get NO HEAT whatsoever. He returns 3 hours
later, and there is *still* heat pouring from my radiators.
His face looks white as a ghost, as he tells me in no
uncertain terms that there is no way I should be getting
any heat whatsoever. There is “no way this should be happening”,
he says.It is 30 degrees outside and I have no *official* heat in my apartment,
but here it is several hours later and it is still well above 70!I’m starting to wonder if I’m poisoning inanimate objects
whenever I release some stress 🙂(insert spooky music)

Good luck with your exame.
I think your phenomenon with the physical word is interesting. Come to think about some works by C G Jung and a theoretical physicist, can´t remember ho it was, perhaps Heisenberg, anyway someone working with quantum physics at a early stage. Jung and the phys. did write a book on synchronosity. On how psykological archetyps, especially if there is a lot of strong emotions, could afect the outher word. The correlation betwean the inside and the outside word.
Something like this seems to happen around you. Any more strong feelings in your fusion practise?
Also Marie louise von Franz, the today Jungian theoretical “leader”, have written quite alot on syncronicity and such conection betweans inner and outer words that are interesting.
Hope your situation becomes better after the exame. I feel wery strong that you need to have more time to relax and enjoy yourself! Perhaps from a New Age perspective the universe tells you to cool down, it could be warnings to you from the universe. Not want to make you afraid but more to look into yourself and realy see what you want from your life. What you realy want. That what I think what it is all about.
Wery best to you
Swedich Dragon.

SOunds like you are getting some great feed back. I smile to your curage to change, open to the life force, and find deeper levels of radiance and wisdom.
April 2, 2008 at 3:08 pm #27987StevenModeratorHi SD and Dog,
Here’s another update on the weird:
The temperature in my apartment barely dropped below 70 all night,
and it was in the lower 20’s outside. The maintenance guy just came to the apartment building again
a few minutes ago to check on the boiler, and to continue
to address the problem. His intent was to change the “zone
valve” on the pipe leading from the boiler to my apartment. To his surprise, when he began to replace the valve, the left
over water in the pipes leading to my apartment was still *hot*.He is completely floored.
Quoting him, “This is impossible. There is still hot water in
this pipe. After the disconnecting from the boiler all night long,
there is *no way* that the water in the pipe can still be hot.
This water should be ice cold. This is like Tales from the Crypt
or something.”He seriously questioned me as though I were playing with him,
and doing something behind his back!S

on fire in video #2 . . . Of course, who doesn’t like Queen 🙂Short sidebar: I heard the third song for the first time when I saw
Highlander 20 years ago, and it was so aptly timed during the movie
that I was moved to tears.S
April 3, 2008 at 2:44 pm #27993StevenModeratorYeah, this has been very bizarre.
I sort of was chalking it up to coincidence, but it has
happened so many times now, and under very strange
circumstances–where the “cause” is unknown and seems
to violate expected physical laws–that I’m really
starting to wonder.I haven’t had time recently to process much, as the
exam looms too close on the horizon–5 days now.S
