Medical and Spiritual Qigong (Chi Kung)

Hello,
What patterns do you move in when you practice the Five Animals do the Six Healing Sounds?
The main way i used to practice it was in a clockwise circle. I also used to practice it a lot to the directions (not really in a flowing circle), usually starting with left foot forward to the East and going clockwise. I haven’t been practicing that qigong set much lately, but today i did and i did it by doing a clockwise circle then turning around and doing a counter clockwise circle for almost all the movements. It was a very nicely balanced patterned, however it required doing the movements, and the sounds, too many times. So what patterns do y’all move in while playing the Five Animals do the Six Healing Sounds?
Thanks
Hi Ryan,
The way that I usually do them is to do them in a
clockwise circle. Actually, this is the way that
Michael teaches them in his workshops.
Clockwise is the manifesting direction of time and space,
which parallels the manifestation of creation, as in
the creation cycle–which you are effectively replicating
when you do the 5 Animals in the order of the creation
cycle sequence.
However, having said that, if you feel called to do
something different in a particular session, or
even in general, you should listen to your inner calling
and enjoy the interplay with the qi field.
Chi to you,
Steven
