We don’t really know about spirituality unless we experience it do we?
All I can talk about is my own experience.
Since spiritual experience is internal how can we argue about who is better unless we know their inner being?
Lao Zi:
“If you do not strive or compete with others,
you will be free from blame”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha
For me, the Healing Dao has been a process of ever-opening vistas of inner experience. It really started kicking in after doing star alchemy. With this path, gradual change will happen in a year or two, but I am starting to get a feeling of the serious intensity of dimensional change after almost five years. It is serious because it works!
I used to be bothered by Michael’s style but once the process started really working for me and I experience it daily and in each moment, I give him all the respect that he deserves.
Here are some observations on the Huashan experience:
The first cave experience I had, I did experience losing jing on the first night there, but don’t know anything about fox spirits. This event was probably due to the inexperience of myself with very powerful energy and not being able to hold the jingwith all this higher level energy coming in. I have found that as I practice star alchemy and heaven and earth alchemy, there are periodic cycles ( related to the moon) when I would be overcome with lust and couldn’t hold on to the spiritual vibration. It would then take time to build it back up; I think this is due to the fact that as people are able to integrate higher vibrational frequencies, the Jing has to gradually become accustomed to coexisting with it. In fact, sexuality has been on of the main things I have been dealing with to try and integrate to move my practice forward, and have been feeling like I have finally been making progress as the higher levels of alchemy have sunk in. I found that the most conflict and lust came out in me before I began to pass through the barrier between early and later heaven with Star alchemy. The practice of absorbing energy directly from the sun has helped me the most with integrating high vibration energy with the jing.
The Huashan Cave experience was most beneficial to me the second time I went there, after I had practiced for 4.5 years, and was able to go to a deep enough level to communicate with the consciousness there. The first time I was there, in retrospect, I felt like it was just cooking me out and I couldn’t focus because I was not at the level to integrate with it.
The Huashan experience for me was the most powerful meditation I have ever experienced, it is a connection with a collective consciousness of all the humans that have cultivated there, and with the deep earth: it gradually drew me deeply into a dark womb of shimmering light-sound that took a focused intention to sustain, because my outer self was constantly trying to get my attention.
Here are some throughts on the whole trip:
China experience 2004
Traveling anywhere gives one an opportunity to experience and connect with new earth and people energy. This chance is something that people 50 to 100 years ago may have had a limited opportunity to do, and may contribute to our expanding global consciousness depending on the intent of the visitors.
Group meditation boosting and consolidating our qi field, giving purpose and focus to the trip.
Tibet, warm and rooted on the rooftop of the world, powerful landscape of mountain and earth energy.
The cities are smaller here, and people live closer to the natural world, more influenced by the earth and the vast blue expanse of sky with bright sunlight.
People reflecting and amplifying the landscape in their beautiful smiles and laughter. Strong female presence, maybe because all the men are in monasteries.
Intense focused jing and human/earth energy cradling me and entering through the crown in the meditation cave of Dzogchen master Song-Tsan Gampo, 33rd Tu-Bo king, in the heart of the Potala Palace.China cooking internally with sublime yuan qi, an expansive neutral force.
Cliffside cave of the three purities at Qingcheng Shan opens up a wide space within.
Ba Xian An (temple of the eight immortals) in XiAn city greets us with a thunderbolt (what was that anyway?).
Hua Shan mountain, a mixture of danger and high spiritual force with smooth curving rock faces, pine trees and impossibly high cliffs anchored deeply in the heart of the mountain rising up out of the plains of red earth.
The south face; sitting on the edge of emptiness in soft, powerful and refined energy with the warm smoothness of a tree and wind spirits playing in the air. Inside the domed womb of a small cave, lost in the depths of internal thunder.
Inside a large domed cave for three days, slowly being inducted into the collective self of Hua Shan; the immortals, the deep earth energy and the primordial self, pulled into the dark womb of the mysterious female. My deep collective inner self slowly filled with the shimmering sound of crystal light.
Loguantai is reflected in the simplicity and practicality of people working in agricultural fields and soft green hills. An offering to Lao Zi by the Moon rabbit Half-Immortal sending out a rippling wave of qi. Lao Zi Mo; a portal in the rock beside lush green hills and water, manifesting as a shining white, then black ball emitting brilliant colors.Life Altering Experience
This trip again gave me the incredible opportunity to connect with the land and people in places of the world where there has been an ancient and continuous presence of powerful meditation practitioners.
The result of this has been that I have developed a deeper connection with my inner self through the inner self of many other people (as well as the earth self) as a collective experience. Even despite the fact that when I returned to North America, I somehow managed to sabotage myself through physical injury several times, I know through meditation that my connection with the qi field has grown deeper.March 11, 2005 at 3:57 pm #3192VCraigPParticipantHey Room mate.
Nice to have you here.
Wish I had all the time in the world to visit with all my Tao buds from those three lovely weeks.
Almost three seasons have passed now since our parting. WOW.
Sorry to hear about your injuries. Ahh you train to hard anyway 🙂

What was that at Ba Xian An anyway? Was there really a plaque saying that the temple was built on that site because of underground thunderbolts? I don’t think it was a sonic boom.
I might be driving down your way this spring break, I will email first if i do.
March 12, 2005 at 3:09 am #3196Soaring Spirit FeatherParticipantMysterious Thunder, are the godz angry???
Yes there was a written thing there in the temple near the front gate, stating that the temple was built at the source of that sound. Met the coolest monk there.
Thanks for the great times.

mike 🙂March 12, 2005 at 12:48 pm #3198VCraigPParticipantMysterious thunder indeed.
My scientiest side said it had to be a sonic boom, but the rest of me was having a hard time believing it.
Please come down, would love to get together.
Perhaps you can help me rekindle my Bagua practice again.
If not I really should follow through on plans to come up myself.
Is your weather also way to warm and dry for this time of year?
Nice to hear from you.
