Will he engage in a constructive debate on the origins of alchemy with the double-dragons called Max and Plato?
Will the board mysteriously crash once again to save his “face?”
Will him and Spyrelx (both named Michael) unite to form a super-saiyan LSM and defeat the double-dragons?
Or is the answer already imprinted in our collective deep jing? LOL!
Stay tuned.
March 11, 2005 at 2:23 pm #3219thelernerParticipantReally I’d rather learn and discuss then debate. I’ve been trying to get some LIVE BODIES on the Live Chat feature at Taobums.com.
The whole board vs. board, person vs. person thing is ridiculous. Like this internet universe isn’t big enough for the two. I’m surprised that there are so few people on either board. There must be 1,000’s who have taken classes, 10’000’s who’ve read the books, yet we only have a few dozen contributors on either site.
YOU my dear Plato, have a penchant for attacking woman both in general and specifically on these boards. Not always, but noticeably.
You need to be nicer to woman, one day all the ghosts you’ve pissed off by offering them food they can’t eat, are going to get there revenge by reincarnating you as Jane Fonda(neat time trick too).
Peace
Michael
P.S I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to get a Live Chat going on the Taobums site at 9:30 p.m Central time, U.S.
March 11, 2005 at 3:14 pm #3221Golden SunParticipanttrust me..you don’t want to get reincarnated as her. It was at a party when she was still married to Ted Turner. That guy may be entertaining in public but in person he had the personality of a piece of dead wood.
What does this have to do with Taoist practice? Absolutely nothing.
Anyone else care to chime in with what celebrities they have met and how they are in person. I once knew a girl that went to school with Bradd Pitt and showed me their class photo together and said he was a total “loser”. Now he is societies image of a “winner”.
And it is old news that I once met Natalie Portman at a club on Bleecker street in NY. I guess we will all get to see her do something soon in Revenge of the Sith.
Can we all here Plato say to Max ” Finally we will have our Revenge on the Healing Tao”
Michael as Obi Wan ” Plato, you were supposed to be the chosen one!”
And one of my Aikido teachers in NY, Yoshimitsu Yamada, who i heard a rumor Lucas based the character of Yoda off of…
“Ohhhhh..they are both very cute..fighting like Jahpanese Gagsta..you know?”
I think we should call the new show “As the Tao Turns”. Definetly more interesting than the soap operas millions of Americans watch. Now if we could just get an attractive Taoist female Goddess in the mix…
March 11, 2005 at 4:06 pm #3223spyrelxParticipant. . . such things you miss because you can’t see past you’re big ego dick.
To wit, the debate is over. You lost.
March 11, 2005 at 4:22 pm #3225thelernerParticipantI didn’t meet him, but there was short laid back Aikido Sensei from Hawaii that was nick named Yoda sensei. I don’t know if they called him that to his face though. He was of Japanese origin and Ki Aikido style.
Peace
Michael
March 11, 2005 at 4:57 pm #3227Simon V.ParticipantI do get the impression that this kind of aggressive posturing tends to keep not just female partipants away, but experienced practicioners interested in productive sharing of ideas and practice tips.
Part of virtue is having the balls to apologise, to bury the hatchet, to make amends in order to continue in a spirit of friendship rather than risking burning bridges. One could identify that as a more feminine trait, I suppose. It is most certainly a buddhist trait, in any case.
Constant arguing is exhausing and ultimatlely unproductive because too uniform and monochrome and single-toned.

March 11, 2005 at 7:02 pm #3231jenParticipantWho can take you seriously when all you have been doing in the recent posts is insult people? If that’s all you have, whatever “knowledge” you wish to impart, whatever”help” you want to give is automatically invalidated. I have no interest in anything you have to say anymore. How can you accuse Michael of character assassination? You’re doing a pretty good job of character suicide yourself.

March 11, 2005 at 11:35 pm #3235SheepyParticipantSeems that since you posted this, Michael has accepted the challenge to debate.
So, it looks like you are the one who lost, loser. 🙂
March 12, 2005 at 9:45 am #3237spyrelxParticipantOoooh, so macho — “he accepted the challenge”.
Well, he accepted it because he’s apparently got more virtue and compassion in his little taoist finger than you’ve got in you’re entire pretend-buddhist body. He actually appears to be trying to teach you (or at least us) something that he believes is worth learning.
And since you are (as we’ve already established) a guy who is incapable of understanding metaphor, I will translate my post for you (again):
What you’ve “lost” is the respect of virtually everyone on this board (except perhaps for your ever-loyal friend max), and with it the ability to have you’re views carry the respect and consideration they might otherwise have commanded.
Who here — after the last few weeks of you’re vomit — isn’t going to read any new post of yours and think “oh, well, that’s just little plato, the self-agrandizing baby who has to pick fights to feel important” ?
Indeed, you’ve actually accomplished something I wouldn’t have thought possible — you’ve made Michael Winn look humble and compassionate by comparrison. (So, if you need a victory, you can take that one).
March 12, 2005 at 9:46 am #3239spyrelxParticipantsad sad sad
March 12, 2005 at 9:48 am #3241spyrelxParticipantI second that (see my post below: Re: What’s that you said?).
Also, by the way, good to have you on the board.
March 12, 2005 at 2:10 pm #3243SheepyParticipant…you are the type of person who cuts off other people’s wings because you don’t believe you can fly too.
You are such a bullied, beaten-by-life type-of-person and what is so sad is you’ve just given up and decided to equalize the playing field by handicapping everyone else at the scoreboard.
Here is my advice to you:
Figure out what you really want in life, no matter how selfish.
Try to integrate your selfish drives into a way to help others.
Write down your goals and dreams on a lifetime basis, a yearly basis, a monthly basis, a daily basis and a RIGHT-NOW basis.
Then write down how you are going to make it all happen.
Drop everything else from your mind and go for it. The magic will come shortly. You may want to get Bodri’s White Fat Cow book, but I learned this stuff long before I met Bill. Bill just includes what everyone else leaves out–the crucial role of merit.
