Hello everyone.
I’d like to have your opinions on the practice of the inner smile.
Do you consider the practice as a water meditation or a fire meditation.
When i do the smile the way Mantak Chia guides i feel warm response from the organs.
When i do the inner smile by visioning the smiling energy as soothing water it has a cooling affect on the organs which i find more balancing (when i collect the energy at the Dan Tien the energy feels warm).
appreciate your thoughts on that
peace and harmony
I like hearing about others experiences in the practices. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. If you smile and imagine water than it is cooling. Voila. It also sounds like you are aware that you need this to balance excess fire.
From what I understand and experience the inner smile taps into the Formless from which both fire and water emerge. Perhaps in the very act of opening to the mystery, She provides the experience we need…or desire.
If we are wanting healing and balance, as you seem to, than She will enter that doorway into your form as heat or cool.
As I write this it reminds me to ease off on my pushing the Mystery for my own results, but trusting that if I knock She will answer.

i think maybe it’s not the water or fire way but rather the wu way. letting it happen on it’s own natural way.
anyway i just cant seem to do the inner smile, my over active liver shen just goes, ” what the hell are you smiling at” , so in direct responce i now do the Inner Kindness. it seems to work that way just being kind to myself, maybe someday everyone in there will smile….

I think it would be a fire practice, but realizing that I have wax excess fire and inadequite h20, this is a great idea to make it water! Or just steam it.
