Hello All,
Just a couple of quick questions regarding kundalini or chi..
1) Does Exercise like weight lifting or calisthenics eg TACFIT by scott sonnon prevent negative kundalini/chi syndrome?
2) Does Qigong prevent negative kundalini/chi syndrome?
Thank you so much for your advice to a noob here.
Cheers

Hey steven.. i know that opening your microcosmic orbit clears up any kundalini blockages but mantak chia said in one of his books that in the event of excess energy.. exercises or qigong will drain the excess energy away .. is that right?
March 7, 2012 at 8:28 pm #39128StevenModeratorIt is not so much about draining excess energy away,
but redistributing the energy in a healthy way that
you can use throughout your body. The microcosmic orbit helps to redistribute and
balance the energy flow through the body, and
qigong–in particular, grounding exercises–help
to bring the energy down so that it is more in
your body, your lower centers, and less up in
your head.S

At Mount Wilson, he hired and encouraged Harlow Shapley and Edwin Hubble toward some of the most significant discoveries of the time. He was a prolific organizer who helped create a number of astronomical institutions, societies and journals. Hale also played a central role in developing the California Institute of Technology into a leading research university. After retiring as director at Mount Wilson, he built the Hale Solar Laboratory in Pasadena, California, as his office and workshop, pursuing his interest in the sun.
Hale suffered from neurological and psychological problems, including insomnia, frequent headaches, and schizophrenia, claiming to have regular visits from an elf who acted as his advisor. He used to take time off to spend a few months at a sanatorium in Maine. These problems forced him to resign as director of Mount Wilson.
-WIKIPEDIAA double bind is an emotionally distressing dilemma in communication in which an individual (or group) receives two or more conflicting messages, in which one message negates the other. This creates a situation in which a successful response to one message results in a failed response to the other (and vice versa), so that the person will be automatically wrong regardless of response. The double bind occurs when the person cannot confront the inherent dilemma, and therefore cannot resolve it or opt out of the situation. For example, if your employer tells you to do a job, but doesn’t allow enough time for you to do it, and you are in danger of losing your job if you question the situation, you are in a double bind…the Double Bind Theory was first articulated in relationship to schizophrenia, but Gregory Bateson and his colleagues hypothesized that schizophrenic thinking was not necessarily an inborn mental disorder but a learned confusion in thinking.
-WIKIPEDIAI suspect that if you are frequently visited (or disturbed) by elves or whatever ghosts or dragons, it can be very nasty and dangerous situation.
But it really seems that Healing Tao has very many quite powerfull practices, which could help in that kind of situation.
I don’t belive that there is simple theoretical answer to this kind of problem.

Many theories exist both as to the theoretical structure of working memory as well as to the role of specific parts of the brain involved in working memory. Most research identifies that the frontal cortex, parietal cortex, anterior cingulate, and parts of the basal ganglia are crucial for its functioning. The neural basis of working memory mostly comes from lesion experiments in animals and functional imaging upon humans.
-WIKIPEDIA…as we become socialized, human beings are tamed, just like an animal is domesticated, by the power of stimuli and punishments.
“We have been trained to live and die meekly, following unnatural codes of behavior
which soften us and make us lose that initial impulse, until our spirit is hardly noticeable.
We are born as a result of a fight. By denying our basic tendencies, the society we live in eradicates the warring heritage that transforms us into magical beings.”
He added that the only available way to change is to accept ourselves just as we are, and work from there.
“The warrior knows that he lives in a predatorial universe. He can never let his guard down. Wherever he looks, he sees an incessant fight, and he knows that it deserves his respect, because it is a fight to the death.”
-ARMANDO TORRES, Encounters with the NagualA mental disorder or mental illness is a psychological or behavioral pattern that occurs in an individual and is thought to cause distress or disability that is not expected as part of normal development or culture. The recognition and understanding of mental disorders has changed over time and across cultures. Definitions, assessments, and classifications of mental disorders can vary, but guideline criteria listed in the ICD, DSM and other manuals are widely accepted by mental health professionals. Categories of diagnoses in these schemes may include dissociative disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, personality disorders, ambulatory disorders and many other categories. In many cases there is no single accepted or consistent cause of mental disorders, although they are often explained in terms of a diathesis-stress model and biopsychosocial model. Mental disorders have been found to be common, with over a third of people in most countries reporting sufficient criteria at some point in their life. Services for mental disorders may be based in hospitals or in the community. Mental health professionals diagnose individuals using different methodologies, often relying on case history and interview. Psychotherapy and psychiatric medication are two major treatment options, as well as supportive interventions and self-help. Treatment may be involuntary where legislation allows. Several movements campaign for changes to services and attitudes.
-WIKIPEDIAThe important experiences marking the student’s ascent into the higher worlds include his meeting with the Guardian of the Threshold. Strictly speaking, there are two Guardians: a lesser and a greater. The student meets the lesser Guardian when the threads connecting willing, feeling, and thinking within the finer astral and etheric bodies begin to loosen, in the way described in the foregoing chapter. The greater Guardian is encountered when this sundering of the connections extends to the physical parts of the body, that is, at first to the brain. The lesser Guardian is a sovereign being. He does not come into existence, as far as the student is concerned, until the latter has reached the requisite stage of development. Only some of his most important characteristics can here be indicated.
The attempt will now be made to describe in narrative form this meeting with the lesser Guardian of the Threshold, as a result of which the student learns that his thinking, feeling, and willing have become released within him from their inherent connection.
A truly terrible spectral being confronts him, and he will need all the presence of mind and faith in the security of his path which he has had ample opportunity to acquire in the course of his previous training.
The Guardian proclaims his signification somewhat in the following words: Hitherto, powers invisible to thyself watched over thee. They saw to it that in the course of thy lives each of thy good deeds brought its reward, and each of thine evil deeds was attended by its evil results. Thanks to their influence thy character formed itself out of thy life-experiences and thy thoughts. They were the instruments of thy destiny. They ordained that measure of joy and pain allotted to thee in thine incarnations, according to thy conduct in lives gone by. They ruled over thee as the all-embracing law of karma. These powers will now partly release thee from their constraining influence; and henceforth must thou accomplish for thyself a part of the work which hitherto they performed for thee. Destiny struck thee many a hard blow in the past. Thou knewest not why. Each blow was the consequence of a harmful deed in a bygone lie. Thou foundest joy and gladness, and thou didst take them as they came. They, too, were the fruits of former deeds. Thy character shows many a beautiful side, and many an ugly flaw. Thou hast thyself to thank for both, for they are the result of thy previous experiences and thoughts. These were till now unknown to thee; their effects alone were made manifest. The karmic powers, however, beheld all thy deeds in former lives, and all thy most secret thoughts and feelings, and determined accordingly thy present self and thy present mode of life. But now all the good and evil sides of thy bygone lives shall be revealed to thee. Hitherto they were interwoven with thine own being; they were in thee and thou couldst not see them, even as thou canst not behold thine own brain with physical eyes. But now they become released from thee; they detach themselves from thy personality. They assume an independent form which thou canst see even as thou beholdest the stones and plants of the outer world. And . . . I am that very being who shaped my body out of thy good and evil achievements. My spectral form is woven out of thine own life’s record. Till now thou hast borne me invisibly within thee, and it was well that this was so; for the wisdom of thy destiny, though concealed from thee, could thus work within thee, so that the hideous stains on my form should be blotted out. Now that I have come forth from within thee, that concealed wisdom, too, has departed from thee. It will pay no further heed to thee; it will leave the work in thy hands alone. I must become a perfect and glorious being, or fall a prey to corruption; and should this occur, I would drag thee also down with me into a dark and corrupt world. If thou wouldst avoid this, then thine own wisdom must become great enough to undertake the task of that other, concealed wisdom, which has departed from thee. As a form visible to thyself I will never for an instant leave thy side, once thou hast crossed my Threshold. And in future, whenever thou dost act or think wrongly thou wilt straightway perceive thy guilt as a hideous, demoniacal distortion of my form. Only when thou hast made good all thy bygone wrongs and hast so purified thyself that all further evil is, for thee, a thing impossible, only then will my being have become transformed into radiant beauty. Then, too, shall I again become united with thee for the welfare of thy future activity.
Yet my Threshold is fashioned out of all the timidity that remains in thee, out of all the dread of the strength needed to take full responsibility for all thy thoughts and actions. As long as there remains in thee a trace of fear of becoming thyself the guide of thine own destiny, just so long will this Threshold lack what still remains to be built into it. And as long as a single stone is found missing, just so long must thou remain standing as though transfixed; or else stumble. Seek not, then, to cross this Threshold until thou dost feel thyself entirely free from fear and ready for the highest responsibility. Hitherto I only emerged from thy personality when death recalled thee from an earthly life; but even then my form was veiled from thee. Only the powers of destiny who watched over thee beheld me and could thus, in the intervals between death and a new birth, build in thee, in accordance with my appearance, that power and capacity thanks to which thou couldst labor in a new earth life at the beautifying of my form, for thy welfare and progress. It was I, too, whose imperfection ever and again constrained the powers of destiny to lead thee back to a new incarnation upon earth. I was present at the hour of thy death, and it was on my account that the Lords of Karma ordained thy reincarnation. And it is only by thus unconsciously transforming me to complete perfection in ever recurring earthly lives that thou couldst have escaped the powers of death and passed over into immortality united with me.
-RUDOLF STEINER, Knowledge of the Higher Worlds And Its AttainmentThe strange story of the genesis of the electric motor, as hallucinated by the twenty-two-year-old Nikola Tesla, provides further proof. One afternoon in 1881, Tesla was out walking with some student friends in Budapest Park. They were walking west, towards the setting sun. Tesla, entranced by the spectacle, was reciting a poem by Goethe: The glow retreats, done is our daily toil; It yonder hastens, new fields of life exploring; Ah, that no wing can lift me from this soil, Upon its track to follow, follow soaring…he stopped mid-stanza. In front of him was a vision of a fiery magnetic field being made to rotate by a ring of a electromagnets. The magnets were powered by a current that varied in the pattern of a sine wave, with a delay between the phase of current supplied to each magnet, so that the field moved in a circle-just as a ring of lights turned on one after the other give the appearance of a light rushing around the loop. Inside the ring of magnets, Tesla saw a hulk of iron that could be connected to the electromagnets in one way to start it spinning in one direction, and in another way to reverse its motion. He had a moment of catatonic immobility, then blurted out, ‘See my motor here…watch me reverse it.’ His friends grabbed him and shook him until he came back into their world.
When Tesla returned to the laboratory and built what he had seen-what is now known as the the self-starting alternating current motor-it worked first time.
-MICHAEL BROOKS, Free RadicalsI have impression that original question was maybe too simple. One should know more about symptoms.
Most essential thing is to be disciplined. Substance abuse and uncontrolled criminal tendencies are especially harmful.
For few interesting remarks about this problem one can find for a kind of theory from Ru(do)lf (Steiner). But one should be aware that his ideas about many things are also quite childish, for example about “black magic,” and also about many other things.

Ps. Skull Fuck is kind of affectionate name (but rejected by the record company) for one early Grateful Dead live album .

March 16, 2012 at 11:10 pm #39138c_howdyParticipantTesla engaged in reading many works, memorizing complete books, supposedly having a photographic memory. Tesla related in his autobiography that he experienced detailed moments of inspiration. During his early life, Tesla was stricken with illness time and time again. He suffered a peculiar affliction in which blinding flashes of light would appear before his eyes, often accompanied by visions. Much of the time the visions were linked to a word or idea he might have come across, at other times they would provide the solution to a particular problem he had been encountering; just by hearing the name of an item, he would be able to envision it in realistic detail. Modern-day synesthetes report similar symptoms. Tesla would visualize an invention in his mind with extreme precision, including all dimensions, before moving to the construction stage; a technique sometimes known as picture thinking. He typically did not make drawings by hand, instead just conceiving all ideas with his mind. Tesla also often had flashbacks to events that had happened previously in his life; these began during his childhood.
-WIKIPEDIANikola Tesla used ancient Sanskrit terminology in his descriptions of natural phenomena. As early as 1891 Tesla described the universe as a kinetic system filled with energy which could be harnessed at any location. His concepts during the following years were greatly influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda was the first of a succession of eastern yogi’s who brought Vedic philosophy and religion to the west. After meeting the Swami and after continued study of the Eastern view of the mechanisms driving the material world, Tesla began using the Sanskrit words Akasha, Prana, and the concept of a luminiferous ether to describe the source, existence and construction of matter.

How much further did NT advance?

This was actually my point also, but it is somehow very sensitive point because what do you think Hale’s colleagues have thought about his Little Elf or Tesla conversing with the Green Men.
Anyway what comes to the so called Third Eye, very special kind of mental hygiene seem to be necessary.

First of all, depending on how serious they have it, they will need to stop chi training, especially if it is moving chi upwards into the head.
The main problem is that the CNS, the brain itself, is over energised, too much chi in the head. By reducing this, moving chi downwards, out of the feet is one of the best ways to counter it before it gets its claws into the brain.
There is a link with low thyroid which places the CNS and nerves into a more vulnerable situation, thus it is easier for them to break down when blasting the brain with chi thru chi kung etc.
One treatment that helps a lot, and I can vouch for that personally, is neurofeedback, reducing beta activity on the non dominant hemisphere reduces the panic attacks and anxiety from kundalini syndrome.
If you want to ask more personal questions please feel free to email me, this is a condition I have had to heal myself from, it ain’t nice.
