I used to be ultra-spiritual before enlightenment. Now i just chop firewood and mountains are mountains again. You know what’s better than being US (ultra-spiritual)? [US: There’s no use in I but there is an US in use!] What’s better is being hip to the whole scene and rebelling against that, getting hip and not rebelling, and so on. But, hey you can lead a horse to water… but is it auspicious with relation to a favorable mountain formation?
I thought that the video was great. It was a chance to gently smile and laugh at myself.
I watched another, Ultra Spiritual: After the Fame – with JP Sears, and it was balm to my soul! These lines, especially, were delicious:
Be the change that gets you the most attention from the world.
Q: How did you recover from all the self-destruction?
A big part of my recovery I attribute to reading poetry. I was reading a lot of Rumi poetry and pretending to understand it. That was helpful. That made a difference.”
Ha! That really amused me. It’s these sort of things, too, that put the fool in Fool Turtle! Anyone else that found it hilarious passed my humor test, and the artist responsible even perhaps surpassed my previous favorite video for feeling Beyond Ultra Spiritual, Arj Barker, Sickest Buddhist.
Honestly, I might even be a Buddha without knowing it. I get a smile kind of like a statue from these sorts of things. Good use of life force!
Thanks.
