Does the buddhist spiritual state of emptiness contain intellience?
Or is it an absolute void?
If the buddhist spiritual state of emptiness is an absolute void, what is the benefit of attaining it, and how does that further spiritual progress?
Does this realm of emptiness contain anything, or when people attain it and interact with it, are they simply filling it with their own personality pattterns from their physical existence?
Is this spiritual state of nothingness considered the source of the physical body?
Does this spiritual state of nothingness interact with the physical reality in any way or is it simply an alternate reality that people can go into stasis in?
Is emptiness a static non-realm or a dynamic dimension?
Is being in emptiness like being frozen?
April 17, 2005 at 4:53 pm #4524The NothingnessParticipantFor the answers inside yourself!
April 17, 2005 at 4:57 pm #4526singing oceanParticipantI already have, and have not found anything that is purely empty! There is always a form of consciousness there.
How about you?
April 17, 2005 at 5:01 pm #4528The NothingnessParticipantThat is not the point.
Maybe consciousness is empty in and of itself?
What else could possibly hold Infinte?April 17, 2005 at 5:11 pm #4530singing oceanParticipantIf consciousness is empty in and of itself, then it is not truly empty is it?
Couldn’t consciousness hold the infinite?
the translation of WUJI roughly means “without limit”!
More importantly, what is the connection of emptiness to the physical realm in your view, and how do they interact?
April 17, 2005 at 5:17 pm #4532The NothingnessParticipantThe Dao is the Connection.
It links everything together!
Conscioussness is not a container of some sort.
Actually Consciouness is just a WORD.
With many different meanings.Actually wuji means emptiness.
The Dao needs the Wuji to get around!
When you are approaching Wuji, you need to abandon reason.
Because the distictions betwenn oppisites do not exist.
There is a melt down. There is a secret beyond this,
what is it?Think about it.
April 17, 2005 at 5:28 pm #4534MaxParticipantNice….
“IMMORTALITY
Neat word.
Sounds like a peace of clothing.
Can I wear it?Seeing through the facade.
How pathetic can they get?Is it just a suppression of that in which they are NOT willing to Face!
Because of their own self centered reality?Childesh Drama that has No Fame.
Just an Act of Desperation
Driven by their own personal FEARS!The Fear to except the Truth
Because they Hate who they have Become! That which goes against the “WAY”
Will soon cease to EXIST!Stirring as they Do
All will Return
And this is were Judgement will be made!”April 17, 2005 at 5:28 pm #4536singing oceanParticipantSo what is stopping the Dao from existing simultaneously with the physical realm if it is simply a different level of frequency, and how am I forgetting it?
if a single consicousness is the source and links everything together, it is in all places simultaneously!
From my understanding, the Dao is unknowable, and gives birth to the Wuji, which is where the polar opposites are birthed from, so it contains those opposites within it as a potential state, and when we can integrate ourselves enough to return to the wuji, we are bringing back the pearl of understanding of free will, and the experience of being in a body, along with the experience of complete neutrality of the collective mind.
How does the Dao need the Wuji to get around if it gave birth to it, and if they exist simultaneously where is it going to get around to?
reason and logic are modern philosophical constructs that do not include the model of simultaneous levels of vibrational consciusness.
April 17, 2005 at 5:29 pm #4538singing oceanParticipanthaven’t we seen this post somewhere else before?
April 17, 2005 at 5:55 pm #4540The NothingnessParticipantMaybe the Dao gave birth to the Wuji so it could get around?
Or maybe the Wuji gave birth to the Dao?
Or maybe the Wuji and Dao have always existed!!!!
Dao is not unknowable!
Actually the Dao is very approachable.
She will give you a hug if you ask her!Actully here is something to think about in regard to that big paragraph up there!
What is the Meaning of the DAO DE CHING????
This may answer many question you are searching for!
Think about it!
April 17, 2005 at 6:04 pm #4542singing oceanParticipantThe Dao De Jing means
“Way and Virtue classic”
Of course, the english translation does not do it justice completely, as virtue is loaded in the english sense. It really refers to the pure spiritual qualities that the Dao, the original self, has manifested in early heaven that interact to create the stepped down manifestations in the later heaven realm.
I think that the “dao”, as the author of the abovementioned text explains, the source of all things, that is something we are always connected to, but is always in process and always changing, so when we try to describe it, we freeze it in time of later heaven. it can only truly be experienced, and words are incapable of expressing it fully.
April 17, 2005 at 6:04 pm #4544The NothingnessParticipantSounds Yummy!!
