I am starting to practice IS1 from Mantak’s book until I have a chance to attend a course, which I am hoping will be soon. Anyway until then I am trying to get that tree as close to what needs to happen as possible and as anyone who practices alone is difficult.
My question is, can deep rooting happen on a floor? Or in cities, where cement more or less is blocking our connection to earth?
Yes.
Because everything is connected to the earth.
Unless you are on an airplane, whatever you are standing on, this object is stacked up from the ground, and thus becomes an extension of the ground.
So rooting should not be affected.
However, if you are in a building, there may be electrical wiring, other apartments with tenants, etc. . . . things below you. Some of these may be unhealthy. Consequently, it may not feel as nourishing, as if you were standing on soil with nothing but the planet beneath you. But it is still better than nothing, as it provides a pathway for your own toxic energy to leave via your feet, and helps to pull down energy from head (grounding you) due to the overall force of the earth through whatever is between the soil and you.
