I totally agree with this approach which I found out by myself to be very balancing, centering and yet giving a feeling of universal connection. I teach this type of ‘yoga’ which I simply named relax yoga, taking people into this body awareness exercises. A favorite one is to bend your big toe towards your body and keep it there, observing the reaction in your body, shifts in diaphragma and breathing occur and you start to breath deeper and feel more relaxed. Just by using one big toe. Of course if you know the correlations between your big toe and other body parts it makes it even more interesting to work with that as well.
For me, it surely is a great instrument, without big poeha or difficult exercises or magic one can become totally in harmony and centered.
Nice essay. Bardon is one of the few western writers I respect, along with Walter Russell (Secret of Light, etc.).
He could have saved himself a lot of trouble by studying five shen theory relation to physiologicla perception. Then he would have understood taoist alchemy is experimental and relational within its formal aspects/principles. Tao is always about immediate process. The methods are essential, but secondary.
LIke most westerners, he is overly in awe of people who assume titles like Master. He is still regretting they did not “master” his needs. Common illusion….
