Medical and Spiritual Qigong (Chi Kung)

I recently met a good healer at the National Qigong Association conference in boulder. His name is Robert Peng. He was born with a certain special ability to transmit a strong “sparking” type of qi that is very useful in cleaning out stuck qi and chronic dysfunctional patterns.
Of course, those who believe qigong is all “false wind” need not bother checking him out. Even though they may be in greatest need of him….:)
His main qigong teacher was a chan buddhist. When I probed deeper about the main meditation practices he was taught, it turned out to be – surprise – a version of the lesser kan and li. This of course is quite common in China, for taoist practices to surface in the Buddhist tradition.
He first gained notoriety in China when he healed the daughter of the Australian PM of chronic fatigue, from which she had suffered for many year. That got him a visa out of china.
Now he is in NYC on upper east side. $80. per treatment (hour?)

Robert also teaches some qigong classes in NYC at the learning annex. I like him because he is skilled, yet unpretentious. Don’t know what he is teaching but judging from his character it should be solid.
…there is nothing wrong with qi gong, it just must not be mistaken for cultivation IMO.
