maybe you go – yawn… correspondance of elements again, been there done that. I think it has been discussed here several times.
For me this text (see link below) really was a revelation. It’s the first time I found something that explains how the classic elements change dynamically, nourishing each other in a circle. Reverse circulating is discussed as well and the ultimate fusion into the center (quintessence) , so how the ancient alchemists used the rotation of the elements to form the philospher’s stone.
Until now I only came over ideas that present the classic four elements plus ether in a rather static way, kind of hierarchical on top of each other , or in the form of the pentagramm or forming a cross. Here they discuss the whole matter more in terms of a cosmology very close to the daoist view of circles (spirals), phases, change. This inspires me a lot! There are of course many differences on different levels between the systems, I dont want to just melt it into a mishmash but still this text opens a door to a kind of private missing link between Fusion of the Five elements and western alchemy!
I hope it inspires you too and I don’t bore anybody with my intellectuel struggles.
