frechtling replied to the topic sexual purity in the forum General 10 years, 9 months ago
I think it is more about perception than being “dirty.” If you are doing something that makes you uncomfortable or anxious, then don’t do it. If you can relax and enjoy strange erotic things, then enjoy them. I personally don’t believe you “ruin” any “purity.”
I recall in Chia’s “Multi-Orgasmic Man” he talks about pornography. I believe he…[Read more]

Thanks for the info and for the invite. Unfortunately, I don’t foresee myselft being able to attend a retreat anytime soon.
As I understand, Chia’s Tai Chi form is based on the Yang form but also has elements of other forms. I also understand that there are different frame sizes and form lengths. How are they different and how do the…[Read more]

After reading through the form once but not attempting it yet, I’m sort of thinking “what the…” I can see how it is pretty much impossible to learn from the book. I felt the same way about the IS1 breating technique the first time I read through it. Of course I don’t practice that, just the postures.
I’m not really that gung ho about doing…[Read more]

Sounds like two common themes: grounding and intention/awareness.

Thanks for the priceless advice Steven! I will give you an update once I start practicing and let you know how it goes. I will consider the Chia DVD as well. So far I’ve only learned Chia’s stuff from books, and Winn’s stuff from DVD’s and QF audio (plus ebooks).

frechtling replied to the topic Question on removal of organs in the forum Philosophy 10 years, 10 months ago
I read that if you get an organ transplant, that you take on a portion of the shen from the donor. Michael wrote it about one of the senior HT instructors that had a transplant, I can’t remember who or what the organ.

frechtling replied to the topic microcosmic orbit in the forum Philosophy 10 years, 11 months ago
When I first learned the MO, which I did through “Awaken Healing Energy,” I used to throw in a few arm and leg orbits during the course of a sitting. I discontinued it after a while, as I moved on to other practices and did not sit as long.

I believe that is correct. He doesn’t say in the DVD but he does in the audio.

frechtling replied to the topic Decline in Trust = Weakening U.S. Earth Element in the forum General 10 years, 12 months ago
I agree but I tend to trust my gut, which tells me who I can and cannot trust. In general, I tend to have faith in humanity and I think my positive vibe/attitude/aura tends to attract trustworthy people and detract those who are not. Just my 2 cents.
Also, the wealth disparity is pretty insane…as a “successful” middle class professional, I…[Read more]

For the 5 shen, do you form each pearl after circulating in that organ? So white/lung pearl on the left side, blue/kidney at bottom, green/liver on right, red/heart on top, and then yellow/spleen between the red and white near the spleen location? Is it as simple as forming/actualizing them and circulating the “we” love during the closing? Any…[Read more]

frechtling replied to the topic Breathing … in the forum Practice 10 years, 12 months ago
When I was working on QF 3/4 as my focus, I always started with a few minutes of counterforce breathing with hand movements followed by a few minutes of reverse breathing with hand movements, before I did the standing-in-stillness and/or blissful breathing qigong. Since I have moved on to other practices as my focus, I developed a “quick session”…[Read more]

Thanks again Steven for your detailed responses. I do have the time for the most part as I dedicate a good portion of my lunch break to my practice, but that is not always the case. When I started doing Primordial this summer it was the first time I dedicated myself to actually doing 100 days and kept track of if I missed a day, so I got good at…[Read more]

It is great that pkyoungson is working on Deep Healing Qigong at the same time that I am because not only do I get to benefit from questions he asks that I may not have thought of (and vice versa), but we also have quite the expert here to answer them, so thanks to pkyoungson and Steven! I’m only a couple weeks into practicing it daily, and have…[Read more]
