Good article.
It’s a good reason for folks to avoid committing crimes, if they don’t already have enough common sense to know that without a reason. Some misguided folks think they can defraud others or do all kinds of other things with low integrity, and get away with it. But then they don’t connect the victimization such as the rape and…[Read more]

Positive and inspirational . . . and someone with Daoist interests . . . She’s probably an ideal choice for western astrology blog reads for a HT audience. I’ve subscribed to Joan’s stuff for years. Good stuff . . . S

Just saw this now.
Ironically, I’ve been taking a bit of a break from the forum recently.
I’ve been focusing on doing a lot of HT practices, doing some online private HT lessons, and working on my book (math, not HT). It’s all got some momentum to it, so I don’t anticipate a lot of activity by me on the forum in the immediate future, to be…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Kundalini – sexuality and sleep in the forum General 8 years, 11 months ago
I wouldn’t dismiss this so quick. While it may not be the only cause, I’m sure it is an aggravating factor. If a person becomes more sensitized to energy and doing energy practices, artificial stimulants just don’t agree with the body. They keep it too wired and the body can’t settle down. If you want to get rid of your insomnia, I’d consider…[Read more]

Do you drink coffee?
Or caffeinated soft-drinks, like coca-cola?
Or energy drinks, like red bull, monster, etc.?If you are, I would cut all this stuff out.
Many folks live on this stuff, but if you start doing a lot of qigong and other spiritual practices, due to the extra energy you receive, your body simply can’t handle artificial…[Read more] -

Steven replied to the topic Storing Energy in the forum Practice 8 years, 11 months ago
The amount of energy an organ can hold is directly related to how healthy it is. You can’t really force an organ to store qi, if is sick. Organs will hold more qi simply as a consequence of them becoming healthier, and this last bit is done vis-a-vis good living habits: diet, exercise, lifestyle; and via qigong . . . stuff like physical…[Read more]

The real test for you is whether or not your body genuinely feels tired and needs to rest. If you feel awake, but you feel like you are on a caffeine high, then this is different from feeling awake because you body genuinely doesn’t feel the need for sleep . . . i.e. it’s not being kept awake because its being stimulated to stay awake despite its…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Do NOT take Antibiotics for Flu or Cold; use Neti Pot in the forum General 8 years, 11 months ago
Well, to clarify, it is not just practice.
Practice alone was only able to reduce my 3 severe colds per year, down to 1. So I was still getting sick, just not as frequently and not as severely. To eliminate the sickness altogether, it required adding on the other things I mentioned.
I wasn’t particularly a healthy person before . . . even…[Read more]

Through correct application of probiotics, vitamin C, Chinese herbs, and daily qigong, a person can avoid ever getting sick to begin with. You don’t need a neti pot.
The last time I had a cold was May 29, 2011.
I haven’t been sick of any kind since then. And this is saying a lot, since I used to get 2-3 colds *per year* . . .

I wouldn’t say this is a current summary!
It was published in 1994.
In terms of scientific knowledge, this is effectively the Stone Age.
Best not to go back more than five years to examine current cosmological thought. However, your ultimate conclusion still holds up.
That is unchanged by modern discoveries. ๐S

It could be the fault of the way that she is presenting it on the DVD.
The whole way in which you move in Tai Chi 1 should be such that you are always rooted to the ground with the foot that is not moving . . . this is the so-called “moving root” principle. A foot if it moves, is completely weightless and 100% of the weight is rooted to the…[Read more] -

Diet is a major component.
Many foods, such as fast foods, aren’t really foods. They are fake foods that damage the gut. Most conventional food in the US is this way as well, because it is saturated with pesticides and GMOs. These damage the lining of the gut terribly. Switch to organic, non-GMO foods and make your own meals instead of fast…[Read more]

Again all mental ideas from you.
Are you doing more than 6 hours per day?

Steven replied to the topic HumAI company to make after-death body replacement for you (article) in the forum General 8 years, 11 months ago
Often people can’t do more than that, because of simple fatigue of the body and mind that occurs as one goes beyond that amount. Some can probably do more, although 6 hours is an average upper limit I’d say if we are talking about doing it consistently over a very long period of time. Especially considering that time for sleeping, eating,…[Read more]
