Grounding means lowering your consciousness down into your dantien,
out of your head, and connecting with the chi of the Earth.Rooting means energetically connecting your physical structure down
into the Earth. So they are very similar concepts and are often used interchangeably.
Best,

Fusion of the Five Elements . . .
Part I is emotional alchemy to give tools for working with
the emotional body–emotions make sexual energy more volatile
Parts II and III open the 8 Extraordinary Vessels–vital
energy pathways in the body.Really the only things that will help get the energy out of the
head are:1. Grounding

Then your path AC is not well-defined!
If AB and BC both lie on the same geodesic, then going from
A to B to C forms a geodesic, but not necessarily length minimizing. In my example, you can have two geodesics going from A to C, one
is length minimizing and one is not. There is no obvious mechanism
that you can incorporate into the…[Read more] -

Quaternions are not commutative. You lose commutativity when you
generalize to quaternions. You lose associativity when you generalize
to octonions. The higher order generalizations continue to get worse.S

Yeah, but you are picking and choosing what rules you want.
After all, if you want commutativity, you are stuck with the complex numbers!See my other post.

For one, octonions are NOT even associative, so if you want an
associative algebra, the best you can do is quaternions.Octonions are a generalization, but you LOSE associativity.
You CAN generalize further, but you get nastier
power associative algebras like sedenions. All of this is ultimately cumbersome though.
However, if you…[Read more]

Sexual energy is like slow moving liquid cement. If it stops
moving it can freeze up like concrete and you can have great
difficulty getting it to move again. You really don’t want to start moving sexual energy around until
you’ve opened up certain energy pathways–you could create problems
for yourself otherwise. In other words,…[Read more]

There is nothing new about generalizing quaternions.
The most natural extension is to Cayley numbers,
where you lose associativity as well as commutativity, and
any further extension you are reduced to an algebra that is
only quasi-associative . . . This isn’t so nice.In other words–using the “obvious” generalization–as “n”…[Read more]

I will miss seeing you down here also.
I look forward to looking through your China pictures when I
get a minute–been busy setting up and getting the bookstore underway
this past week.I may prod you for questions relating to your experiences in China later 🙂

Actually, Mantak Chia played this video for everyone in his
Week 1 retreat–then gave some commentary afterward.Due to charts he had, the normal brain activity for the
right hemisphere tends to be much lower than that of the right.
Body movements (e.g Qigong!) act to exercise the right side.
Strengthening the right side helps spiritual…[Read more] -

Friction causes electromagnetic shear–the same principle behind
what causes lightning. Therefore, it seems reasonable that spiritual friction

Hi Bob,
He may not have mentioned it last summer.
After last summer, I retook the course in Fall 2007 in Asheville,
and found it to be more comprehensive than previous transmissions.
I think he added on some things to take the course to a higher level.
For instance, he didn’t used to teach the Wudang orbit by
first empowering the…[Read more] -

In some extended Inner Smile sessions, there is a dissolving process
of dissolving your physical body and shifting into your energy body, so
there is nothing wrong with doing a shift . . .The only words of caution I’d suggest is that you don’t do it
