Congratulations on your newfound energy.
It’s always exciting when we make breakthroughs. Not surprised that you got tired after weight lifting . . .
usually when we get the gift of more energy, we
enthusiastically spend it, just like a kid in a
candy store spending his allowance. So much of our energy gets eaten up through
our…[Read more] -

In large part I agree. In particular, monasteries I think
are far too limiting. Usually they have one particular vision, and
you have very little breathing room for creating your own vision.
You sort of have to fit a certain mold and do so under the belief
that “it’s good for you”.It’s not necessarily bad though to change society…[Read more]

One more comment here on my point-of-view
with regard to the Iron Shirt practices.People come to Iron Shirt for a variety of
different reasons, and was originally used
for martial arts to toughen the body
to iron–as in wearing an “iron shirt”.If you are martial artist looking to develop
unnatural super abilities, then…[Read more] -

I’m not so negative to the idea as Dog is.
Your suggestion sort of sounds good to me; of course, you’d
have to get a number of highly motivated people and someone
willing to devote a lot of time to running the thing. The reality is, is that if you have a strong desire for
a long period of dedicated practice, there are ways to make
that…[Read more] -

If your method works for you, great. I don’t want to knock it.
However, in my opinion, there is a very delicate balance
between doing the Inner Smile of acceptance and relaxation, and
trying to *force* a state of feel-good upon your body when it
clearly is unhappy with its level of discomfort.Personally, I don’t like to use the Inner…[Read more]

I’m going to break ranks here and say listen to your body.
What I like to do is to get into a standing posture and
whenever I *start* to feel discomfort, drop the arms, dump the toxic
junk, and then casually re-raise.*Occasionally* when I do standing postures, I do
an active meditation like doing the microcosmic orbit
or trying to…[Read more] -

Sounds like Lesser Heavenly Circuit = Microcosmic Orbit, hmm.How many of these courses are you taking in July?
You’ll have to give a report after you take them, and tell
what you think.Best,

Thanks for sharing your perspective Wendy.
It’s interesting to hear from your point of view.I’m a water person–my five element makeup is
almost all water and wood, with wood a very close
second to water–so as a result I have a lot
of issues with fire and the heart. Hence my
accumulation of “fire techniques” that I posted

Yeah, this has been very bizarre.
I sort of was chalking it up to coincidence, but it has
happened so many times now, and under very strange
circumstances–where the “cause” is unknown and seems
to violate expected physical laws–that I’m really
starting to wonder.I haven’t had time recently to process much, as the
exam looms too…[Read more] -

Not sure why I inspired Queen, except for maybe the alarm clock catching
on fire in video #2 . . . Of course, who doesn’t like Queen 🙂Short sidebar: I heard the third song for the first time when I saw
Highlander 20 years ago, and it was so aptly timed during the movie
that I was moved to tears.S
