Steven replied to the topic Sexual frustration: PRACTICAL solutions? in the forum Practice 18 years, 3 months ago
Hi SD,
Yeah, I understand that the “order” is sort of made up by those
that are teaching it, but the reasons presented by Michael
make sense/resonate with me, so that was the source of
my comment. I agree that the whole system is holistic and
all parts are important–ultimately all coming together. At least for me, I’m not in any…[Read more]

Hi Loes,
I think your suggestion of talking to your inner sexual desire
like a child, and promising it that you will fully explore
it passionately at a later date is a really good suggestion. Not only do I think that this would help with taking a little
bit of the edge off, but I think that would make the experience
that much more…[Read more] -

Hi Loes,
That’s a pretty accurate description about cravings,
and was fairly dead-on in my opinion. Seeking attention
as whining kids is exactly right.Going off-topic for a moment on to the topic of addictions,
I don’t think that necessarily they are such a bad thing!
What I mean is that sometimes I think that people need to…[Read more] -

Thanks SD,
I wasn’t aware of this “big draw” as you describe, and it looks
like this is definitely one technique for dealing with the
sexually aroused feeling. It sort of looks like at the very
least it could be a technique of temporarily derailing the
feeling for a short time. It may end up coming back stronger
later, but later…[Read more] -

This seems pretty comprehensive and could be useful
for those trying to combat porn addiction.I think the basic message is to strive for moderation
and to avoid seeking the orgasm.Although I do have to agree with SD somewhat in that
the article seemed to focus a little too highly on
demonizing the orgasm. I don’t think that there…[Read more] -

I’m not sure a vasectomy would do much.
It doesn’t prevent ejaculation. After a vasectomy, you still ejaculate like normal
with the same amount of fluid as before and the ejaculate
has the exact same appearance. The only difference after a vasectomy is that on the
microscopic level there are no sperm cells in the fluid.Steven

Hi Michael,
I read your post, and have been thinking about it carefully.
It brings to mind some questions, and any insight you can provide
would be greatly appreciated:My argument for avoiding sexual imagery was that in
doing so you avoid creating unsatisfied sexual desire–which
ultimately leads to frustration. Thus decreased…[Read more] -

I agree with a lot of what you said.
To be honest, I don’t watch a lot of violent films.
When I do watch films that contain violence,
they tend to be of the “fantasy”-type, ala
“the Matrix”. Here in such movies I tend
to remain completely detached, and am not
the least bit inspired to do violent acts. However:
There are a whole…[Read more] -

Initial caveat:
I mean, I suppose if two people are in a loving and hot
relationship, then the two people could watch loving sex
and it could really be a good experience. The two people
could get turned on, feel connected to each other, and
playfully say, “let’s try that! that’s looks like fun!” and
then go to it.HOWEVER, I suspect…[Read more]

I went to the website to check it out.
To be honest, most of what I saw was what I would call
“professional amateur porn”.What’s the difference?
In so called professional porn, there are set actors/actresses
called “pornstars” and they are paid by a studio to have
sex with each other. The sex is videotaped and packaged…[Read more] -

Excellent article, Michael. Somehow, I’m not the least

Your first two points are excellent, and should be
required reading for everyone! As to the third point regarding porn, I feel I need to
expound a bit more on it.While there are definitely women who do porn because
they want to have sex and are exhibitionist-type, a lot
of the women were sexually abused/emotionally traumatized…[Read more] -
