I would recommend the Buddha Palm Qigong Form, which is part of the Cosmic Healing curriculum. You can find it in the M. Chia book, Taoist Cosmic Healing.
The form draws in cosmic energy, uses the lower dantian as an anchor, activates the eight extraordinary channels, and brings the energy to the hands. The whole reason why it is in that book…[Read more]

My comment was based on:
1. Some acupuncture schools are quite advanced and demanding; others not as much.
2. Some students are better at learning the theory than others.
3. Some students are better at applying the theory than others.
4. Some acupuncturists are better at weighing many diagnostic factors and choosing the most important to…[Read more] -

Wonderful, wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
As a quick fyi: left side of the body is connected to father, so I suspect this was also a contributing factor as to why you had that negativity awareness on your left side. In any case, glad to see that you seemed to be getting some healing there.
In total, it sounds like you are getting some…[Read more]

Ugg. This is but one of many reasons why I’m not a fan of sexual practices. I’ve run into so many folks that have screwed themselves up in one way or the other by some qi deviation as a result of some “accident”. At any rate, I digress . . .
Regarding your problem:
Sounds like you not only have some stuck qi in your abdomen, but likely…[Read more]

What a person needs is highly variable, depending on who they are, how ungrounded they are, their personality, how much stress they have in life, whether they tend to be a “thinker”, etc. There is no set answer as to you should practice X amount. It also changes if you do a lot of alchemy, which is very UNgrounding through its acceleration of…[Read more]

unless they also get enough intelligence to build rocket ships to escape the earth.
All animals on land die off in about half that time, around 600 million years from now (due to increased luminosity of the sun permanently killing off all plant life). This is, of course, best-case scenario . . . assuming that human-induced environmental…[Read more]

Grounding is quite simply developing a strong conscious awareness of the ground under your feet. You energetically drop your consciousness out of your head and down toward your feet. Your consciousness becomes more body-centered, and less head-centered. Thus you detach from all of the mental storylines in your head and your system becomes more…[Read more]

When the earth’s oceans evaporate in 1.1 billion years due to the increased luminosity of the sun, all jellyfish on earth die. 😛

I recommend you download a program onto your computer called Stellarium.
It is completely free-of-charge, with no spyware.
It is an excellent real-sky planetarium software, which will show you at any given time, what all the stars are in the sky.I highly recommend it.

OK, now I understand what the situation is.
This is a combination of qigong detox (as you’ve surmised) plus ungroundedness.
When you do a lot of qigong per day, say more than a few hours (and for some who are really sick, it can be less than that), you can flush out too many toxins too quickly. It triggers a detoxification reaction. If you…[Read more]

The other thing that is worth mentioning here is that when you do some kind of health-oriented practice that is beneficial, then if you stop doing it, you will after a while feel like crap. Not because of the practice per se, but because you have gotten used to feeling good and have forgotten what feeling like crap is all about. So when you go…[Read more]

The basic level qigong at the level of the fundamentals, with the 6 Healing Sounds, is very good for correcting minor momentary emotional issues and providing symptom relief. It’s not so good for correcting deeper chronic issues. For that, you need more powerful tools. So, onward and upward!
Tools:
1. Grounding
By getting more deeply…[Read more] -

My best guess is that it’s probably Venus.
It’s the brightest thing in the sky around 4-5am, just north of east, maybe 20 degrees above the horizon. It’s somewhat significant given the time of year.

This question gets asked a lot, so I’m going to try to be comprehensive so I can just link to this post in the future. I don’t know of diet or time-of-day suggestions that work as a general rule, so I won’t address that bit.
There are many different solutions to each of these issues, each with their pluses and minuses. What a person decides…[Read more]

There are a lot of qigong movements that are similar to the Falun Gong movements, and in fact, you see a lot of the pieces of the Falun Gong movements in other qigong forms. So I don’t think there is anything particularly unique about Falun Gong’s set, aside from the fact that that is THE set and arrangement that THEY do.
However, if you…[Read more]

You’d have to look around and see what’s available by other instructors.
Some of the senior instructors teach pieces of the IS1 in separate workshops, or small bits embedded in other courses, but these are usually sporadic offerings and not consistently scheduled. Another option is M. Chia’s summer/winter basic training courses, where IS1 is…[Read more] - Load More
