I wouldn’t be surprised.
Having used a laptop for even an hour on my lap while riding an airplane, I could feel the radiation having penetrated into my legs.Any of these unnatural environmental factors throw off the body’s natural energetic signature. It’s best to minimize exposure, as much as is possible in this technological society.

If you want qigong, certain fast sets such Tai Chi 2, Big Dipper, and Primordial would be beneficial . . .
But really the real solution is to decrease body fat and increase muscle tone.
I would say 90% or more of sleep apnea / UARS problems are attributed to too high of a body fat percentage and low muscle tone in the neck. Once people…[Read more]

Your association to the sexual center for orange is more of a chakra association, than a Healing Tao one. In the Healing Tao, orange is more associated to lymphatics and detox as I said. See Cosmic Healing coursework for this.
Brown is the deeper aspect of yellow, so it is an earth color.
Sort of like how black is the deeper aspect of blue,…[Read more] -

Funny. I asked this question some 7 years ago when I was a beginner in the system, and all I got was ridicule. I think ironically you were the only one that even tried to an attempt an answer.
Now 7 years later, I can answer this.
In the Healing Tao system, orange is not associated with any particular organ.
Instead, orange is associated…[Read more] -

I always just traditionally used the thrusting channel myself, but I actually like your variation of using governor/conception. It makes sense, and provides some nice variety to the other two positions.

Relax.
The dantian is never shut off. You wouldn’t be alive if that were the case.
The degree to which it is open, both from the prenatal realm and to its connection to the rest of the body, can vary. When most of your qi is rising into your head, fueling all kinds of anxious thinking, there is not a lot left below. This is basically what it…[Read more] -

I personally do not do such large counts in my practice, either for time measure or other reason. I simply do the practice for as long as I feel is essential for me to feel the energy and/or intuitively I feel I’ve done enough. In any case, if one does enough regular meditation, you can start to intuit correctly how much time has passed without…[Read more]

I have no problem with the topic.
If you want to discuss homosexuality or S&M, or any other sexual topic, feel free.
A huge part of the Tao is sexual fulfillment, and that is to be embraced.
I have no desire to limit your creativity.
These are topics worthy of discussion. However, when you repeatedly post the same thing in different threads…[Read more]

The numerology of counting breaths (say in multiples of 9) is entirely unimportant in my view. In particular, I do not feel that any of these numbers 24, 36, 72, etc. have any significance. The significance of numbers (in my opinion) stops once you go beyond ten.
The real purpose in the numbers 24, 36, 72, etc., is not so much the numbers.…[Read more]

Being able to explore sexual fantasies, and being able to work them out, is all part of the natural process of the Tao. Therefore, I’ve been permitting these posts thus far, and I encourage you both to continue to explore it.
However, while your back-and-forth sexual dance is somewhat entertaining and a natural example of the Tao in action,…[Read more]

The following three sentences from the article are key:
Trust has declined as the gap between the nation’s rich and poor gapes ever wider, Uslaner says, and more and more Americans feel shut out. They’ve lost their sense of a shared fate. Tellingly, trust rises with wealth.
Then parents who have to work two jobs, don’t actually spend any…[Read more]

I agree with Ocean Breathing. It’s quite nice, and I do it frequently. Things like that, where it is kind of a physical qigong, e.g. Ocean Breathing, Blissful Breathing Qigong form, etc., . . . where you are standing/moving, I kind of consider a different category from the stationary/non-moving breathing practices. These latter non-moving…[Read more]

Hi Jox,
The only time (for me) I feel it to make sense as an active stand-alone practice is after doing the orbit. This is because after the orbit you have an enhanced awareness of your front and back channels, so the internal aspects of the breathing practice can be taken deeper. This is probably one reason why Michael teaches this in QF3,…[Read more]

ADDENDUM:
Since an octahedron has 8 faces, you can make an assignment of trigrams to faces, just like for the cube it was trigrams to corners.
Here is an example, splayed out with the folding lines.
So this could be some kind of 3-D bagua, just like the cube.
With its boundary defined by the trigrams, it bounds the geometric shape…[Read more]

Stress, anxiety, and anxiety disorders are all symptoms of not being grounded.

Communication is usually deeper layers of oneself that reveal themselves to the more conscious everyday mind.
In this specific case, it could simply be a message that your five shen are starting to harmonize from continued practice, i.e. it’s becoming familiar terrain. Or it could be something else. Only you yourself can know and answer that…[Read more]

Other than both having 8-sides, they are relatively unrelated.

I don’t usually try meditations outside the Healing Tao, but for some reason this meditation called to me, as if maybe advanced K&L adepts could appropriate this for their own use. Had an interest to explore it anyway . . .

When I did it at the head, I felt absolutely nothing in my body, very…[Read more]
