A few follow-up comments ON THE INNER SMILE:
The (classical) Inner Smile does not follow the creation cycle. It follows the control cycle starting with the heart (on the front line): Heart, Lungs, Liver, Spleen, Kidneys.
In later years, Master Chia started teaching it following the creation cycle. However, this is not consistent from…[Read more]

I think a better question to ask is:
To those who have had such relationships . . . what is it
within you that attracts such people into your life, and
why do you find such people attractive (at least initially)? -
Steven replied to the topic Bending knees in the forum Practice 11 years, 2 months ago
All-in-all, it depends on what you are trying to achieve.
There’s no “one” right answer here, other than what feels good
for you and what your goals are.Let me give you some different examples with regard
to bending knees, so that you better understand what I mean.Michael’s Primordial Qigong is a good example–
when you do the scoop…[Read more] -

Somehow I knew you would say that, knowing the Daoist that you are! 😉
Personally, I think your minimum point is probably a little too groundless for most folks. Many (or should I say almost all) have unresolved mommy/daddy issues, and crave a little coddling to stabilize their emotions. I.E. Yes, it is culturally imprinted in part, but also…[Read more]

Yes, the “five point star” is the Creation Cycle Mandala arrangement that is discussed in much more detail through the meditations and lectures on Michael’s Fusion 1 AUDIO course.
In my experience, the creation cycle mandala is more useful for manifesting your virtues out into the physical world. It mediates the interaction between the desires…[Read more]

I agree to some extent, but the problem is that maximizing growth, creativity, and advancement also by its very nature, maximizes volatility.
Volatility is not so great when it comes to be able to ensure that basic needs are met, such as food, water, shelter, clothing, etc.
Thus, to some degree, volatility needs to be tempered somewhat to…[Read more]

Seems to me that you have already made up your mind,
and you are simply hoping others will agree with you.
This is clear not only from your first post in this thread,
but your lack of openness to the experiences of others
who responded to you.To be able to grow, means being flexible and open to new ideas.
With rigidity of mind, there…[Read more] -

Internal Qi Breathing is an umbrella term given to
any of the 3 breathing techniques: natural, reverse,
counterforce breathing WHEN you do internal qi energetics
along with the actual physical breathing.Typically, the one given importance with internal qi
energetics is COUNTERFORCE breathing, so the reference

It’s interesting that you ask this question, because I myself
became very interested in this question about 2 years ago.As far as I know, it is not codified anywhere.
Consequently, I took it upon myself to do a little extended project . . .
to record my energetic feeling of when I felt like the “5 seasons” were

It seems like that is the trend in Asia.
From Kim Jong-Il in North Korea taking power and being even crazier and more militant than his dad, creating both threats on South Korea and China
From Vladimir Putin in Russia trying to turn Russia into a Putin-regime, becoming more hardlined with protests (e.g. Pussy Riot, recent anti-gay law etc.)…[Read more]

Reminds me of the Lotus Meditation from Tao Yin.
Some obvious differences like the blossom at the lower dantian
instead of the heart center, but it has a similar flavor especially
with regard to the external universe extension. In any case,
this channeled meditation is very body-oriented / Daoist-flavored . . . S -

You are correct.
Sometimes it is out of nose, and sometimes it is out of the mouth.Breathing out the mouth is better for detoxification purposes,
which is why we breathe the sound out the mouth when we do the
Six Healing Sounds. Toxins are more effectively eliminated,
stuck qi, stale air, etc. However, you release a lot of qi when…[Read more]

Hi Jeff,
I’ll give you a long drawn-out answer. 🙂
I assume you are asking the question as to how a Chinese person
would say it, right? If so, then it is “Chee-gung”.
Strictly speaking, Chinese has tones, so additional to the pronunciation
is the tone. The first part “Chee”, should be said short and fast,
with a falling tone.…[Read more] -
