I would argue that liberty is at the very core of Daoism.
Arbitrary governmental regulations are artificial man-made ideas
that do not reflect THE WAY THINGS ARE, tries to force
a storyline that does not match reality, and contains subtle
judgments against WHAT IS.Coming into harmony with the way things are IS what it is about.

First off, the rights of everyone is important, but
the issue here is not the rights of the LGBT.The person arrested wasn’t LGBT. He was married,
and was arrested for having an opinion that was
seen in public. The issue is liberty.
This is likely my last post in this thread, because
I’ve explained this several times already and…[Read more] -

Unless you are doing something really extreme,
I doubt that the qigong is the cause of the symptoms. If you have not been taking any herbs for a month
and you have been having health issues, you
should get checked out by medical doctor before
exploring clever treatments with Chinese medicine.IMHO . . . Steven

Herbs can sometimes have unexpected reactions in some people.
In any case, I’d stop the herbs immediately. If your symptoms do not subside in a few days,
you should consult a medical doctor . . . if not sooner.S

I agree.
There is much to correct and fix in the US government also.
I do not hold US exempt from this. The statue of LIBERTY is a symbol; one that many
even in our own country have forgotten. Especially
as despicable laws like the “Patriot Act” etc. used
to combat “terrorism” are put into place.“They who can give up essential…[Read more]

I care about both actually.
But if you forced me to pick, NO I don’t agree with you. What you and I do (namely Theoretical Math and Theoretical Physics respectively), is ultimately of little consequence or importance. It is purely the acquisition of curious facts and knowledge. In your case, the results of research may be applied to create…[Read more]

This is why liberty is so important.
If you won’t stand up for others
for things they believe in, that you
might not. THEN WHO will and should
stand up for you?S

How about speaking to each other about everything
with NO EXCEPTIONS?Put simply, one can never have too much liberty.
If you don’t know the meaning of liberty, look it up. -

So everybody in Russia is a hermit then?
Or at least only talks with other family members? As soon as you engage with other people,
regardless of what you are doing, you are
expressing an opinion that someone could take
offense to.I guess if you live in Russia, being a hermit
and not talking with others about anything is the

If you, as a Russian citizen, like having the government
control what opinions you as a citizen are allowed to have,
then I guess there is nothing to say.But I can’t imagine all Russian citizens feel that way.

High fructose corn syrup is a synthetic,
and even more unnatural poison than even table sugar.
Even trying to avoid added sugars, I’ll take that
over high fructose corn syrup any day of the week.I hadn’t heard anything about wheat.
The only thing I know is that some people are allergic to it,
and it wreaks havoc on their bodies and…[Read more] -

Probably a good idea to avoid soft drinks,
processed foods with added sugar, and too many desserts. But I’ll stop eating ice cream and dark chocolate when
you pry it from my cold dead hands. 😉S
