Steven replied to the topic How healthy can we be with qigong/neigong? in the forum Practice 12 years, 9 months ago
This is a good question, and one I’ve thought
myself in the past actually . . .The main trouble with it, is that you don’t have
a means of comparison. It is very well possible
that these people would have, in fact, died even
sooner than they did . . . had they *not* been doing qigong. For example:
Joyce Gayheart suffered through…[Read more] -

>>>I don’t see why White Tigresses couldn’t play some flute
>>>with their Green Dragons, because these guys don’t anyway
>>>try to reserve their cum shots.A willing victim is still a victim, nonetheless.
In fact, in some sense, a victim has to be somewhat willing
to even be a victim to start with. Someone with a strong
center and…[Read more] -

Steven replied to the topic A Question in the forum General 12 years, 9 months ago
Sexual vampires are also people who learn sexual
energy techniques and use them *against* other
people to steal their sexual energy. This includes people who have sex and rather than
sharing the sexual energy between the two people,
they keep theirs all to themselves and steal the
other persons. I know of such bastards that have…[Read more] -
Steven replied to the topic Taoism VS Zen Buddhism in the forum General 12 years, 9 months ago
Hello and welcome to the forum!
Zen is good stuff and completely supports the
Healing Tao path. In fact, as I’ve argued myself
on this forum many times, you get more by following
both paths than by following just one.Zen isn’t so much about “emptying the mind”.
The mind can not be emptied; it is the nature of mind
to have…[Read more] -
Steven replied to the topic Wounded Healer (article) in the forum General 12 years, 9 months ago
A person who has spent a good deal of time
healing their own issues and developing a
strong center will be able to recognize
someone else’s issues as distinctly theirs
and can remain compassionately detached. The problem is, so many people want to enter
a healing profession, and they haven’t really
spent serious time and effort…[Read more] -
Steven replied to the topic Spiritual Bypassing: Using Practice to Avoid Pain in the forum Practice 12 years, 9 months ago
Although one should recognize that people
are typically first drawn to spiritual
practices to begin with, BECAUSE they suffered
some trauma in their life. The thirst and quest for something more is
most often born from a place of being
unhappy or unsatisfied. People who live
a carefree existence rarely feel the need
to consider…[Read more] -
Steven replied to the topic starting tai-chi in the forum Practice 12 years, 9 months ago
A difficult aspect in learning Tai Chi is
learning body structure. If you’ve spent a
long time doing Iron Shirt practices, you’ve
already trained yourself in structure, so the
learning will proceed faster. I suspect that
your previous karate is helping as well in
the same way.The longer one devotes energy to body-learning,…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Diet: Highest Salt Source is Bread (article) in the forum Practice 12 years, 9 months ago
One can go overboard with restricting salt intake,
and yield bad results . . .Several years ago, I went to the doctor for dizzy spells.
The problem was traced to eating *too little* salt.
Adding more salt to the diet corrected the problem.Of course, I suspect that this is far less common than
those that consume too much, but adopting…[Read more] -

Sounds great . . .
Yes, I find that when doing a lot of practices,
to get real shifts–sustained shifts–devoting
around 2/3 of my practice to grounding practices
is about the right mix . . . at the very least,
more than half is essential . . . sort of like
having an ideal diet where your meat and dessert is
an important part to…[Read more] -
