I am now out of retreat, but sort of on vacation
until next week. My hermit retreat went by much
faster than usual this year, and I would have liked
to stay much longer. This is especially true as I
felt some big shifts take place . . .It was a very productive time, and I seemed to average
more hours per day doing practices this…[Read more] -

Some of my most powerful experiences
in practice have come as a complete
surprise when I was expecting nothing
or no result . . .Chasing after a hoped-for result almost
always guarantees its non-achievement I find . . .Thanks for sharing your recent practice
experiences! It is always good to hear of people
doing actual…[Read more] -

They look at me like Im crazy, he goes on to say. And I know if they continue, they wont be able to take it. I asked him about the worst injuries hed seen. He spoke of well-known yoga teachers doing such basic poses as downward-facing dog, in which the body forms an inverted V, so strenuously that they tore Achilles tendon…[Read more]

What an enriching time this has been!
Each year is so unique, so different . . .I’m so used to be surrounded by snow, but
this year there is no snow!The time has just flown by this time around;
I can’t believe that I only have a few days left!On average, I think I’ve gotten more practice in
each day than I did last year . . .…[Read more] -

Wu wei doesn’t mean being in a state of drowsy relaxation,
at least to my understanding . . .To me, wu wei means “effortless action”.
You can concentrate, and still be in an effortless state.
You don’t need to tense your body up and agitate yourself
due to self-induced stress from the mind.Concentration just requires being…[Read more]

While a hermit retreat can and does
oftentimes help to augment a daily regimen,
the real value in one is the isolation. After a period of time in isolation, dark parts
of yourself that have been pushed down and
suppressed come bubbling up. Without your
usual day-to-day living “escape routes”, you
are forced into facing them . . .…[Read more] -

I woke up this morning highly motivated to get
going on my serious practice period. Usually I need
more detox time, but I already feel the detox starting to wane.So far today has been pretty good, practice-wise.
I did 20 minutes of Yiquan/Iron Shirt practice, followed by a wonderful
round of Primordial. I did about 10 minutes of…[Read more] -

Sounds like you have some really
great holiday gifts for yourself. 😉Cold weather?
Aren’t you in San Francisco? 😛Just teasing . . . I know it probably is
cold if you are moving from the tropics. 😉It requires a lot of courage to make huge
life changes. Congratulations!S

Hi Adel 🙂
Both have their advantages and disadvantages, so
it depends on what you are looking for.The 9-disk set is a recording of a weekend workshop
in Healing Love, whereas the 17-disk set is a recording
of a week-long workshop. The 17-disk set is therefore more comprehensive and
includes a recording of the Jade Egg exercise…[Read more] -

Do you know Karin Sorvik?
She’s a senior HT instructor and teaches at the summer retreats.
She travels between NY and Argentina regularly.
You might try talking with her.
If you aren’t already connected with her on FB, look her up.S

Middle of the chest, you say?
In the middle of the chest is your heart, so
my intuition suggests that that might be a place to
investigate further.By investigate further, I mean using other tools, because
trying to “force” the orbit to do what you what, is not
the right approach. Dao is about allowing.I recommend looking…[Read more]

Everything in the manifest world is ruled by the five elements.
Look hard enough, and you can see the five elements in everything.
Some of these assignments are historical, some are just
your own imagination, some assignments you might make may be
different than what others may make (and can provide some interesting
discussions).But…[Read more]

The first thing I thought of when being surprised
by this video is Energizer Advanced Lithium batteries.Plug enough of them in, figuring out how to harness

I’m not familiar with that area
or live anywhere near there. The only thing that comes to mind
is Lee Holden, who is in Santa Cruz,
which is not far from San Francisco. There are other Healing Tao instructors
in the LA area, but that is farther away.Otherwise, you might try checking
