Trip,
Clearly you’ve received mostly benefit from Chia-studies, and i respect that.
To the degree that attempts to clarify Tao principles become personal attacks, this whole conversation becomes (exponentially) counter-productive, imho. Distinguishing the two is often difficult, both for the person talking and for the one listening.

Too big of a step. I don’t want to promote conflict (on the contrary), simply be truthful.
In a way, this is a good sign – of our progressive learning as a group.

Sean,
Please break your future posts into paragraphs. Much easier to read.
> how bout if I do it like this. Instead of starting up top, what if I just keep a wide open relaxed space in the dan tien only as I breath into it? >
Sounds basically ok.
However, there is no formula that you can follow totally by rote. A big part of the…[Read more]

Here’s a link, three amigos.
> how to properly do k1 breathing? >
How i do it is the tan tien expands and pulls qi in from the k1’s on the inhale. I don’t worry about the exhale so much.
Nice to try it in standing, and in various stretching.

some rambling…
When standing, the heaven~earth dynamics start running through the body – and working in through the layers of flesh etc. (Huge topic on how that occurs, but,) If it doesn’t actually work through the layers, it tends to over-rev whatever layer it activates but doesn’t get through… some layer of personal energy.
I think…[Read more]

I have a caution about Yi Swallows Chi. Since in that practice the starting place of the slow yi-swallow is fairly high, I am cautious that in some cases where rooting is weak and there is prone to fear, that you might not effectively be able to guide the chi all the way down.
