Awesome Max! I was just told about the textual reference at “hatha yoga pradipika chapter 3” scroll to kechari mudra. According to the text, it’s only 6 months of effort at one cut per week. That seems overly optimistic, at least at the moderate pace that I’m planning at going. My cut has been six days ago and it feels completely healed. The…[Read more]

I googled kechari to no avail. Keep me posted if you find anything and let me know if you decide to try it. I thought you might like it.

I’m finally getting the recognition I deserve!
I pondered calling up the Gothic Dungeon to get a bid, but decided to play it safe and do the deed myself 1/16th inch at a time. Probably take a year before I can lick the inside of my nose. More importantly, I’m finally getting into stillness meditation that you’ve been pushing for awhile.…[Read more]

Dude! Lobsters’ main diet is live food!!! What hast thou wrought? And don’t trust no Chinatown lobsters either–they’ll scam you every time.
Seriously, though, very cute story. The only thing I would have done differently is to make sure I was on a hot date with a like minded gal. That would’ve totally pushed her over the edge.

Running ten miles in the sunshine would pretty much kill a normal joe, but for somebody who has trained, such a run would be very energizing. You just have to build up to it. Great time to do mantras too.
Sure, one would do best just to pass out afterwards… but in the long run, some form of regular physical exertion not only is energizing…[Read more]

Nothing beats exercise, sunshine, and vitamins, but standing meditation while watching the sunset or sunrise will up your swimmers in a jiffy!

I left Degoba figuring that I could use some sunshine… but all I got was this computer glare! I’ll get the hang of this planet sooner or later.

Mbanu,
You are definitely one brilliant dude.
I think most of us virtual taoists have the same basic challenge that you do–we are wickedly smart, but our minds short circuit when we don’t spend enough time outdoors in the elements.
Even megamasters like Osho and Trungpa weren’t able to keep it together sort of comes with the…[Read more]
