Thanks for sharing your experience. You saying that after a few times the feelings aren’t strong anymore reminds me of Michael mentioning that it is easy for practicing to become stale. Maybe you can say or have the perspective before you start practicing, I have no expectation of what feelings or results will occur and that each time is special and a mystery waiting to be unfolded.
Wish you well with your practice.
Hello User:
Yes, I think what you are
saying is right on the mark.
I see now that I start a practice
with the expectation of something
similar to previous experiences
occuring…..which is why whenever
I am doing a new one I feel it the
strongest…..ie no expectations.
The second time I did the practice
a white dragon showed up, very cold
and down to business. I felt a bit
lonely afterwords. I realize now that
I had been expecting the warm and
friendly red dragon to come and that
was the reason for my down feelings.
The dragon practice seems a bit different
than all of the others because I am
dealing with a being who has his/her
own feelings that I can not control.
Maybe this is a good practice where
I can start to let go of trying to
control the outcomes.
Many thanks for your insight….Adel
Some of my most powerful experiences
in practice have come as a complete
surprise when I was expecting nothing
or no result . . .
Chasing after a hoped-for result almost
always guarantees its non-achievement I find . . .
Thanks for sharing your recent practice
experiences! It is always good to hear of people
doing actual practices on this forum. 😉
