Beginner replied to the topic Qigonging and mirrors. in the forum General 19 years, 4 months ago

There was some sort of leaving my body when observing my reflection, very subtle, that I had to train to remain. It was some subtle split. It helped me stay focused and learn the forms and intensify my inner mind field, but eventually I found I…[Read more]

HI Oscar, I am not Michael but a humble practitioner who has examined the same questions. I work out in a gym, do Pilate’s, yoga and other physical trainings. I have found that the core chi kung focus on imagery, body awareness and centering into the lower dan tien has been the common theme in all.
I used to do my weights and machines…[Read more] -

Beginner replied to the topic If you had to choose between yoga and tai chi, what would you pick? in the forum General 19 years, 6 months ago
There are so many approaches to yoga in the marketplace. Any practice that utilizes awareness and the body can be effective for growth. So much depends on what you want and what calls to you. I’m my experience, and I have many years of predominately yogic experience, the anusara approach of John Friend is the closest to the Taoist teachings of…[Read more]

I tried to read your thoughtful post but it would help if you broke it up into smaller paragraphs with some space. It is amazing how itchy I get when faced with a long paragraph on the screen. Just to let you know for the future…baba

Beginner replied to the topic Is Raw Meat the Primal Diet? in the forum General 19 years, 6 months ago
I will check out this site. I have always held the idea that it was our use of fire that set us apart from our ancestors and the animal kingdom. To not bring any of this yang fire to our food is to create imbalance to a part of our minds that have evolved from its use. However, perhaps that is the point. We are too yang as a whole and need…[Read more]
