What is the name of his book?
May 19, 2005 at 5:56 pm #5784esotericwarriorParticipantThanks Michael,
So where does the kundalini fit into the Taoist practice specifically the healing tao, is it the lesser kan and li that awakens it? What does it have to do with immortality, in other words, in your opinion what is its function in our development?
April 29, 2005 at 10:28 pm #5162esotericwarriorParticipantCould anybody here who has previously been on a retreat tell me if they noticed a significant boost in energy?I have been working on clearing a blockage for some time now with little success and I am hoping the fundamentals retreat could boost me enough to help.
April 21, 2005 at 1:27 am #4781esotericwarriorParticipantThank you very much Michael, your replies are quite helpful. It is interesting how they quite effectively lead to a new level of understanding when I listen to your audios. It makes my practice much more effective. Now when you talk about internal breathing on the audio it sound slike soemthing that kind of just happens,You practice and after a while your body “learns” or rediscovers how to do it and then you got it.Is this pretty much how its done, you don’t do it you just use the physical breath and after practicing for a while you “get” internal breathing?
April 19, 2005 at 11:08 pm #4777esotericwarriorParticipantThank you Michael that was very helpful. However I am still left with the question about the orbit. You say excessive focus on physical breathing is dangerous in channel breathing, which makes sense, but now I am confused as to how to run the orbit.Should you be coordinating the movement of the energy with your breath at all or just ignore the breathing and run energy up and down the channels? Thanks again for your time and help.

Maybe the destruction of destruction and construction of constructive lifestyles for all?Maybe the hard part will be for those who have no taste of spirit or heart at all so it will be quite shocking to wake up, and for most of us, maybe it is the dawning of exactly what we all have wished for?
April 12, 2005 at 5:51 pm #4266esotericwarriorParticipantI would be interested in hearing more about this. Are the predictions really for something bad or for something that is truly wonderful.I find alot of predictions about the so-called “end” of the world are not so much the end but rather an end of the way things are and a dawning of a new world that most people on this list would probably find especially beautiful.Maybe this energetic shift is supposed to be a good thing?Maybe a rough cleanup is expected but peace on earth is to follow, like the rainbow after the rain storm?Maybe it wont even be drastic, just a shift in the prevalent energy, leaving others as they are but allowing people like us to progress faster and further in our cultivation?
April 11, 2005 at 11:40 pm #4191esotericwarriorParticipantI would suggest that you study with one of the REAL shaolin monks that are in the states.Don’t get caught up in the wushu junk (unless you want that) but if you find and study with one of the real one’s you will se a rich source of some very powerful chi gong.I know of Shi Guolin in New York, he is supposed to be the best in the U.S. what state are you in?
April 5, 2005 at 4:00 pm #4016esotericwarriorParticipantHi Michael, You seem to know alot about other teachers. As this stuff is pretty small circle that makes sense.I personally don’t see it as gossip, I figure the sharing of information is to the benefit of everybody since well informed decisions require just that, to be well informed. If you are familiar with Glenn Morris I would appreciate it if you could share what you know of him and his teachings.I have seen him recommended a few times and am curious as to what the deal.
January 25, 2005 at 12:36 am #2549esotericwarriorParticipantI don’t know his email but here is his website, maybe you can find it there. http://members.aardvark.net.au/borr/beiji/index.htm

January 17, 2005 at 8:59 pm #2538esotericwarriorParticipantHey Yoda, just realized I had this on my bookshelf, Still as a Mountain Powerful as Thunder by Y.P. Dong, I chuan Master. He ahs some nature meditations one happens to be sungazing. Here goes word for word.
THE PRACTICE OF THE SUN
Most of the worlds cultures have viewed the sun as the source of all life. Taoists too beleive the sun is one of the most powerful and sacred forms of natural energy with which practicioners can work.Caution: never stare directly at the sun as this may cause irrepareable damage to your eyes.
Sunrise is the best time to practice this exercise. However, it can be done at high noon and sunset although the eyese should be kept closed throughout to avoid retinal damage.
Spring, the time of growth, is the best season in which to practice the exercise. You may do it at other periods of seasonal change as well, for almost any change means that there is an increae in available natural energy that you can utilize.
Do not practice this if your body feels cold becasue of outside temperature.Practice in an enviornment that is neither too cold nor too hot, thus maintaining the balance of yin and yang within your body.1. The best time to begin is shortly before sunrise.Stand facing east, the direction in which the sun rises, and select a standing meditation posture that you find comfortable.
2. Relax the body and mind as much as you can, breathing slowly and rhythmically through the nose with the mouth closed.Be sure you have slected level ground.
3. Stare directly at the glow before the sun comes over the horizon.Close your eyes as soon as the sun appears.
4.Merge the rays of the sun with your own energy.VIsualize/Feel the light filling your body, and feel the warmth form head to toe.Let your body feel like a sunbeam.
5. Continure to relax with an empty mind filled with sunlight.Doing this until the sun has fully risen gives you the benefit of the energy of the entire chnage from darkness to light.
6. Stand only as long as you are comfortable, then gradually transfor the body of light you now possess back into material form in which you originally began your practice.
He also says to do pretty much the same thing for the moon, especially full moon. The key seems to be to NOT think of the sun or moon as a seperate object far away.As he says, see it as a living glowing aspect of your own consiousness. He aslo has practices for mountain, stones, trees, water, wind and rain and one really cool one for rainbows.Ill write that one up too.
December 19, 2004 at 10:05 pm #2450esotericwarriorParticipantCome on NOW, whats with all this paranoid crap!!! This is nothing more than negative opinion. What about the positive view??? There has never been such a time in this world!!!Everyday more people join into spiritual practice and others deepen theirs. There are truly enlightened people out there and PLENTY of people working for the GOOD of the world.Information is being passed at an increible rate.Just think about the amount of truly positive energy being generated in the world.Forget about the average negative person, there are so many people practicing and building there energy to a truly substantial degree that it outshines that negative.Whata wonderful time to be alive!!!!! True opportunity for WORLDWIDE spiritual avancement. The only reason health officials think we will have a viral outbreak is becasue they expect it to happen every 25 to 35 years.Thats it!! They really said this, “we are expecting an outbreak because it usually happens every 25-35 years” come on now!!!! Lets all forget this paranoid crap and FOCUS on the positive!!!!!
December 7, 2004 at 9:52 pm #2234esotericwarriorParticipantI think that a little investigation into Glenn Morris could clear up TREMENDOUS amounts of this stuff thats being discussed here.He has been able to clear up many things for me, help me through my recent problem, and explains quite clearly EVERYTHING thats being discussed here.I would absolutely suggest his three books, and persoanlly I find them indispensable and would be REALLY lost without them.
December 5, 2004 at 6:41 pm #2188esotericwarriorParticipantI just came across this website (meditationexpert.com) and was checking it out. What do you guys think about him? Is anyone here familiar with his teachings or system? What kind of approach does he emphasize? Is it safe? I didn’t have a chance to read too much but I think I saw him mentioned here once before?
