You refer to yuan as meaning neutral only. Yuan means original. Two came from one. It means original but is also neutral. Michael’s methods are very different from qigong society today. They use yuan to mean prenatal.

Ocean,
That is what Buddhists believe, that because of attachments, they continue to reincarnate.
I guess Buddhists attempt to stop reincarnation by attaining Buddhahood. I think that Buddhist cultivation aims at attaining Buddhahood, or enlightenment which allows one to be free of attachments. A Buddha is free from attachments and the…[Read more]

Ocean,
Dr. Jwing, Ming Yang also says that innate is another way to desrcibe the qi or jing we were born with, yes yuan jing and qi. Different nei dan schools so it is difficult to understand, I agree.
The main focus of Liang’s school seems to be working with the collection of the Earth and Heaven Spirits or Hun and Po and then combining…[Read more]

OK, Michael’s not perfect he makes mistakes. I agree that attachment is the cause of suffering in my limited knowledge of Buddhism. I think it was Alan Watts who said, “Non-attachment is man’s original foundation.” But anyways, that still doesn’t change much if Michael was wrong on the cause of suffering. Search for the inner message in his post.

Ocean (short form),
Good question. Since this regards to Liang’s explanation, I will bring in more of his explanations of light and spirit. He says:
“Light or aura is an expression of qi in higher vibration. Qi is the foundation of life, and light is the foundation of the spirit. Qi is still within the three dimensional space where the…[Read more]

Singing Ocean,
Maybe I can clear things up.

Hi Singing Ocean,
Let me put in my peice on it. You studied with Shou-Yu Liang, so here is what he says that I have taken from his book, “Qigong Empowerment”. Just to say, he know high level Daoist cultivation methods like Gathering the Spirit method and Golden Light Method.
“Daoism believes the human spirit consists of two components,…[Read more]

My definition: The Tao is the way of nature.
We must study how NATURE expresses itself and manifests itself in reality, and we must do the same in our bodies to learn our NATURE.

Bagua,
You have me very confused. Let me clear it up.
I know that we are one with Dao, but you imply we are one with Wu Ji, the creator. Singing Ocean is right, it is quite difficult to understand you sometimes Bagua. It seems as though this is a continuation of round 7, I will continue with your post.
