I agree.
There is, if we do practice with discipline and regularity (wich implies the meaning of “gong”)there is a natural flowering of potential.
Which is quite beautiful and feels like being inspired. What really happens is that instead of focusing on “getting” it or accumulating something, there is more of a pleasure in manifesting the…[Read more]

Speaking of breaking through limitations, I have the same experience with visits to my own teacher. And the interesting thing is that when the sudden transformations occur, things are never the same. I am not the same. And that can be on both a Jing, Chi or Shen level. It’s like jumping from one step on the ladder to the next, or more like…[Read more]

Just wanted to comment on the issue of changes felt in mediation during
the Tsunami disaster mentioned in the article.:“On Dec. 26,
2005 I was sitting in meditation and was feeling quite amazed at the
density and volume of the jing (Taoist term for soul substance that
is refined by inner alchemy meditation) that was present. This was…[Read more] -

I think you should see the effect that you describe as just a passing phenomenon that is not really important as a sign of proper meditation or “getting it right”. Don’t worry about it at all. Sometimes the most rewarding meditations you can have are the ones that are REALLY boring. What you felt was not the chi itself, but the friction of chi…[Read more]

If your friend is openminded about it, finding a qigongmaster who can diagnose him/her energtically is sometimes the most efficient thing to do. Alot of undiagnosed diseases have roots not only in the physical body, but also in the energy and information level in the system.

I am by no means the definitive answer to this one, but I think if this question relates to what happens in practice, and you feel that energy “leaks” into the ground there is only to possible reasons I can think of:
1. Check if you are relaxing or just spacing out. If you are more “inflating” yourself the shen will not collect and there will be…[Read more] -

Do alot of digestion qigong. It’s vital if you have trouble the stomach. It also transforms food-qi to Jing much more efficiently. It will also ground you more, nourish your spleen and ease the mental worrying and rumination, Everything related to the earth element.

I think you should try to approach you problem a little differently. And maybe find a teacher who can help you with the practice.
In the last week or so, I have been going through some of the same problems as you mentioned: Fear, paranoia, palpitations, heart pain, high bloodpressure, general stress, and basically feeling pretty shitty. And I…[Read more]
