I would say there is no golden mean here, i.e. the harder the better.

Would any man like to share if the size/tightness of vagina matter?

imho, the size (both: length and girth) does make some difference.
Too small cannot reach deep enough, too big can be painful.
Golden mean seems to work best

btw, it is probably the hardness factor that is most important anyway…
