Do you notice the yin-yang wei channels when doing “embracing the tree”?

singing ocean replied to the topic Nei Yeh in the forum General 15 years, 3 months ago
I just returned home so will take some time to look at the Nei Yeh and other texts mentioned (which I did not have with me in the last few days.
It is really funny that you say the Yin and Yang Wei channels do not exist, That is one of the main things I have been noticing lately, doing some magui baguazhang qigong that just pumps the earth qi…[Read more]

Just to clarify what we are discussing, my view is not that we are creating something we do not already have, but that we are integrating forces that are present in all people to cultivate and strengthen the presence of Yuan Qi (I’ll say it again…to strengthen its presence). An analogy would be the study of music…is everyone born a concert…[Read more]

I read the Nei Yeh as a practical meditation manual, not a metaphorical treatise. I am not changing words, i am using the original chinese characters which I took time to research since I do not read chinese fluently. I think the original chinese words (jing, qi & shen) resonate more with Healing dao practitioners than “essence, breath and…[Read more]

We do have different interpretations of alchemy…I have often asked you to explain what your view on it is, but you usually go off on your tangent of talking about the dao de jing.
Do you see the difficulty here? There is no interaction, either it is a barrier of language or two people just railroading over the other with their own…[Read more]

From my experience as an alchemist, I am not having any issue being present, in fact the practice of nei dan is a very embodied way of experiencing the constant birth and death, the arrival and return of the present moment from the dao throught the wuji, and formless planes into the present physical plane and back again (and yes, I feel it as a…[Read more]

singing ocean replied to the topic 7 Star Stepping Pattern. Does anyone here practice it? in the forum Practice 15 years, 4 months ago
Since the hand patterns are at a different level every two rotations, the Qi is gathered at a different level each time. When I practice it using One Clouds formulas, I use the dan tien according to the formula and the hand level. When practicing it without intention, the qi is gathered generally throughout the body or in the dan tien according…[Read more]

singing ocean replied to the topic 7 Star Stepping Pattern. Does anyone here practice it? in the forum Practice 15 years, 4 months ago
From my experience, and also what Michael has said, the 7-star form creates tha pattern of the big dipper on earth, and like Steven said, it mixes star and earth energy in your core. Stars are the most accessible form of yuan qi in later heaven, but one must have grounding in earth qi before being able to integrate it. I also like to use the…[Read more]

singing ocean replied to the topic Enlightenment Therapy: Why A Zen monk turned to Freud (excellent article) in the forum Philosophy 15 years, 4 months ago
Interesting article, especially in light ofthe idea that when a person goes through trauma, a part of themselves becomes fragmented, perpetually re-living that trauma but splits apart to save the greater whole. I think it shows the importance of “soul retrieval”, gathering all the fragmented parts of the self, and facing or recognizing negative…[Read more]

singing ocean replied to the topic kan & li and kundalini in the forum General 15 years, 7 months ago
I like Michael’s explanation of the kan and li process that says that though the process is slower than other meditation practices, the results are more permanent in your energy body. Mixing fire and water Qi in your lower dan tien essentially gives substance to the spirit, it creates yuan jing, or neutral force with substance. This is the…[Read more]

Looks great! It seems that there are now a number of people that have had similar experiences with Michael, and the resonance with his methods are beginning to grow.
I have also been teaching fundamentals for a number of years privately and in the last few in a community center, and have been designing/collecting ideas for a website as well.…[Read more]

That is your responsibility if you take ownership of that thought. Feel free to have your own meaning, as that is our birthright by coming into a physical form (and to balance it with the collective!).

This sentence is grammatically hard to understand:
“I will drop the entire dialogue and embrace with what then exists!”
Is this intentional?

singing ocean replied to the topic Some Questions Arising from Advanced Alchemy Practice in the forum Practice 15 years, 9 months ago
Hello Patrick,
Good to hear that your practice is going well! The most important aspect in cultivating the different levels for me has been to strengthen the lesser and greater kan and li levels.
This may also be partly because, like yourself, I was really interested to learn all the formulas in a relatively short time frame (with 6-12…[Read more]

Interesting to note how the body functions best with a neutral pH (slightly alkaline – 7.3), and will start going haywire if things are out of balance. This connects well with the daoist idea of balance and harmony…and that we eat BOTH acid AND alkaline foods to maintain a neutral state.
Of course, all of this is external alchemy, but we…[Read more]

Cool that they mention how vegetables are the main basis of the chinese diet, which would make the food support a balanced or alkaline pH.
