To be honest, taking a live course from a Healing Tao instructor is really your best bet. If you are not able, then an audio recording say of Michael’s homestudy is second best. There really aren’t alternatives that are better than this.
Yes, there are a number of other “Daoist books” out there, but in reality, they aren’t of much value:…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic powa and DHQ – spiritual ejaculation in the forum Practice 9 years ago
Relax.
The reason for the warning about powa was exactly what I said, and it was not about losing qi. It was about your consciousness/essence contained in the qi ball getting lost in the universe. M. Chia used to play with the powa practice many many years ago, and one time he got lost. This is the reason for the warning. Chia’s wife…[Read more]

Your assessment is correct, and I think this is another good suggestion.
It would be worth trying, especially if he is not already doing it.

“bridge and regulator channels” somehow got altered via a hidden ASCII code to the restricted trademark symbol . . . not sure how that happened. LOL.

Do you know the Deep Earth Pulsing from QF3?
It’s not covered on the DVDs from either QF3 or QF4, but it is covered in the live class. There is a version of it (with a sexual energy add-on) shown on the Sexual Vitality DVD. I recommend you get that and practice that form. Not only is it grounding, but it helps balance out…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic How Millennials Differ from Parents (pay in cash): spiritual change coming? in the forum Philosophy 9 years ago
This is going to be a little bit of a political post, but it is entirely relevant to the situation and discussion at hand . . .
It’s easy to not be materialistic, when you have no actual money to spend.
How many times do you hear the lament from folks, millennials or otherwise, “I don’t have any money?”. NOBODY has any money. People can’t…[Read more]

Smoking puts the liver to sleep and causes impotence.

First, I’d rule out the big three: heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
If a person gets one of these, it shuts the penis down.In particular, usually the easiest indicator that the arteries around the heart are getting clogged, is that the penis loses its ability to get an erection (because likewise the blood vessels going to…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic bone beating – right approach in the forum Practice 9 years ago
Bone breathing is a nice practice.
It allows you to bring fresh qi into your bone marrow.
It’s nice to get the toxic qi out, via the bone beating, but it is just as nice to bring fresh qi in. Fresh vibrant qi can stimulate the bone marrow to create fresh new healthy cells, with a fresh new pattern rather than some toxic one that may or may not…[Read more] -

If you are only doing the DVD version, you are only sending your consciousness to the sun or the earth, not a concentrated qi ball (which contains your essence), so in that form, there is absolutely zero concern. It’s really not much different than doing an expanded Inner Smile/Lotus Meditation, where you extend out into the universe.
But…[Read more]
