Howdy,
I am NOT an advocate of channeling – it generally impairs the spiritual development of the channel. But the information can still stimulate others, IF it comes from a high enough source. – m -

Elijah has taken one of my Fundamentals courses and attended parts of several Dream Trips, been to TG to interview mantak. I’m reading the draft of his and David Palmer’s Dream Trippers manuscript now – which is a very cutting edge examination of chinese vs. western taoism.

I should have said that only a small percent of the NEW TESTAMENT is considered accurate by historians. Most of it wss written 80 to 200 years after Jesus died.
How accurate are passed down stories after 100 years? -

Steven,
I love your mathematician’s take on the issue of Christian theology….the only thing that is missing is a calculation of the odds of being saved if you believe in Jesus….so we can place bets that hopefully will be collected on in the afterlife.OR we can simplify this whole discussion by examining the cosmology that drives the…[Read more]

This is all ignorant talk by a beginner who is filtering his experience of very basic post-natal qigong through a personal set of philosophical and psychological filters.
If you want to get deeper, you need to study deeper into Taoist inner alchemy and its relation with multi-dimensional levels of Qi – not speculate and judge based on…[Read more]

Rideforever,
I appreciate your sincerity in wanting to share what you have experienced, and it sounds like you have a lot of wonderful experiences. You’ve read wide and deeply.
But it’s clear to me now that you are really over-reaching when you try to tell people they are wasting their time doing qigong because it doesn’t meet your…[Read more]

I’m slightly less cynical than you.
I estimate 10 to 15% of the human population will make the shift into the re-birthed Earth.
The rest will suffer what they love – their unique form of suffering.

I see from your examples you haven’t had the interest or the time to actually study Taoist internal alchemy. You keep confusing it with a DVD or Mantak’s chanting, etc. My students know well I don’t teach what he does.
So to cut to the quick, you are talking about surrendering to something outside yourself, the frog in the mud, or to some vast…[Read more]

Daoman, we are on the same page.
Another way of saying it: the seeming long path is in fact the short cut, because the short cuts never arrive fully at their intended destination.
Rideforever, I appreciate your intent and desire to accelerate spiritual growth. So its really just a question of practicality: how to we achieve it?
There is…[Read more]

Rideforever,
Your rant against qigong and meditation I feel is misplaced.
I agree wholeheartedly that people are in denial of the feelings – that is just another way of saying that they are not in touch with their BODILY feelings.
But apply your own logic to what you advocate: Just Feel the SHIT of this world, and grin and bear it,…[Read more]

Great responses by everyone to a nearly universal question, thanks.
The real question is How do I cut to the ROOT of the problem?
There is no past, that linear-post natal space illusion.
The problem comes from humans not recycling back to source at death, and their baggage gets recycled into new souls arriving.
This is not an…[Read more]

Great story..I used to teach in Switzerland, with the Eiger in full view.
The problem I find with spiritual scaling of the wall or “sudden enlightenment” – a well known buddhist approach – is that it doesn’t work if you want to achieve immortality. You goose your shen to expand to cosmic levels….but your jing is stuck back on earth.
It’s…[Read more]

This is a great question.
Despair over the meaning of cultivating Qi can easily arise unless it is connected to what Taoists call De (or Te, as in Tao Te Ching).De I translate as Integrity or Inner Spiritual Power (vs. common translation of De as Virtue).
De is what gives meaning, mission, and value to Qi cultivation. Otherwise,…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic How Millennials Differ from Parents (pay in cash): spiritual change coming? in the forum Philosophy 9 years, 4 months ago
I agree with all your theories on life and self-love. Well said.
But the question is: are you profiling a small subset of Millennials, the ones who still live at home, or its mainstream?
I know many that ARE working and have high self-esteem. They just aren’t as materialistic, their ideals matter more to them. Those are the ones that by…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic Gore Vidal, True American Rebel in the forum General 9 years, 5 months ago
Well spoken, Rideforever.
The whole point of Tao is that it is not anyone’s responsibility to come up with a solution for others. Everyone self-created themselves, and must self-create their own life meaning or harmony (which is actually what I believe “solution” means in your context).
But as you say, most are not accepting that…[Read more]

China is a waste of time if you are not fluent in Chinese and well connected.
There are lots of pricey programs out there that will never get paid back via a retail practice.
The entire Healing Tao USA system IS medical qigong…until you master your own Qi, you are fooling yourself.

I teach in holland, and one of Iceman’s student is my student.
He’s come to me because the iceman training is ultimately too physical.
He wants the fire of inner alchemy to train his Energy Body.
Physical training for extremes – will it lead to longevity and self-realization?
stay tuned.
