Michael Winn replied to the topic World Economy a Big Bank Shell Game? (article) in the forum General 13 years, 7 months ago
The student loan game is part of the scam by big educational corporations to get federal funding in inflated amounts. Most educations do not earn back the high price paid for them today…..and the fed govt is holding the bag on 600 billion in student loans, which I predict most will not be repaid. – m

Michael Winn replied to the topic If you believe in immortals, must you believe in….. in the forum General 13 years, 8 months ago
Ah, Bagua is stirring up an old pot of mischief. But I feel it’s mostly linguistic mischief, based on past conversations.
The hidden discussion here: consciousness itself being “immortal”, i.e. it never dies, and it precedes human birth, vs. human beings “achieving” immortality while in earthly form. The two types of immortality are using the…[Read more]

Blue,
I appreciate your explorations, thanks for sharing them.Alchemy is an open system, and everyone can only practice (or teach) what is revealed to and absorbed personally. There is no fixed path for an alchemist.
My changes to One Cloud’s formulas came over 30 years of practice, and teaching over 100 kan & li retreats. I noted…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic Lao Zi quote about music in the forum General 13 years, 10 months ago
Worthwhile question.
J. Star gives a word by word verbatim translation, with index.
He says “music” (yin) is found in 3 passages:
v. 2, character 39
v. 12 character 8 (the 5 tones deafen the ear)
v. 41 character 78so you have two of them, but not v. 12.
I’m sure the quote you hear most often is from 41, something like, my…[Read more]

Adel,
I spend 7 weeks every winter in the Caribbean, and try almost all my internal practices out in the ocean. Too many to enumerate here. But you can “breathe” any element directly, not just water.

Michael Winn replied to the topic Super Healing Sounds method ″tuned″ with EMDR. What do you feel? in the forum General 13 years, 10 months ago
Dragon Love, I appreciate your enthusiasm.
The EMDR method is actually just a western therapeutic technique that in my opinion mimics the Taoist alchemical method (probably by accident).
It works because when you shift your attention from left core channel (and any organ/orbs focused there) and right core channel, moving back and forth, you…[Read more]

No need to prove Chinese medicine, although plenty of studies have verified at-a-distance correlatins. They just cannot explain WHY they correlate.
It’s all irrelevant to you. Qigong doesn’t rely on chinese medicine’s truth. It’relies on YOUR experience. There is no better judge.

STALKER,
I welcome your posts on the forum. But you and Ribosome have the annoying habit of posting 2,3,4,or more posts in a row.
That is technically forum SPAM.
I am requesting that you and ribosome stop this practice immediately, and only post ONE post per topic, like everyone else.
If you persist, I am going to start deleting ALL…[Read more] -

Jimikir,
It is very hard to give advice by internet. But usually the problems come from not developing energy body properly. This mea ns practice more deeply in Microcosmic orbit using Wudang Orbit method, not the other methods in Chia books (that I wrote).Wudang orbit method will give you much better control. Plus more Healing Sounds,…[Read more]

Michael Winn replied to the topic Best Remedies for TMJ or Jaw Fractures? in the forum General 14 years, 4 months ago
The only cure I’ve found for TMJ is using a wire hitter on the contracted jaw muscles. But certainly not if there is a fracture. Try getting some sacral-cranial work to release the neck and jaw.

Michael Winn replied to the topic The Paleo Diet – eating like our ancestors? in the forum Practice 14 years, 4 months ago
I agree especially on your point about fats, which is why I use olive oil everyday. Our brains cannot function without fat.
Chinese teas are another great addition to a diet – healthy and filling when you think you need a snack.

Michael Winn replied to the topic video on Joseph Needham (author Science & Civilization in China) in the forum Philosophy 14 years, 5 months ago
Those books are written by john blofield, I believe. I have Needham’s volume on alchemy, it supplies lots of interesting details and sources. But Needham himself has a somewhat negative attitude about alchemy, i.e. this stuff is not real, but it led to real developments in chemistry and science.
