This is not your site or my site. We didn’t start it, we don’t keep it up or even really support it. We just use it to write our Graphiti.
We can make suggestions, but quite simply this is Michael Winn’s board. If you want to be here, simple, play by the house’s rules.
Peace
Michael

From my point of view, Plato is a welcome addition here. I think he should be reminded not to try not to make personal attacks and keep the site to an R rating.
The tao is good, bad and the ugly. Sometimes its hard to tell one from the other, and by the time you think you’ve figured it out the damn thing has changed places.
You know,…[Read more]

In college I got a bad case of it. Too much reading, analyzing, thinking. Thats the main reason I got into the martial arts. Punches, kicks, chokes, they are real and happened Now. Nothing to argue or think about.
Thats what I admire about people like Eckhart Tolle. He has nothing to give or teach. Whatever ‘enlightenment’ you may recieve…[Read more]

Echoes of Lao Tzu, Simple, clear, short paragraphs. 19, 22, 59 particularly good.
Why do some make it so complicated?

The Buddha was a big fat bald long eared moron. The diamond sutra may be a monks best friend, but it is that kind of nonsensical crap that inspires people to write books like, ‘If you meet the Buddha by the side of the row Kill him.”

Really I’d rather learn and discuss then debate. I’ve been trying to get some LIVE BODIES on the Live Chat feature at Taobums.com.
The whole board vs. board, person vs. person thing is ridiculous. Like this internet universe isn’t big enough for the two. I’m surprised that there are so few people on either board. There must be 1,000’s who…[Read more]

Trees and rocks speak to me. Its interesting, in some of the Hasidic writings you have Jewish mystics saying the rocks, trees, clouds, everything has a song. We must learn how to listen. I was surprised to see such an animistic views from Jewish writings.

Thanks, I was rereading it and it thought it might be in pretty bad taste.
Boy I’d give my left nut to go on an exotic spiritual adventure quest. One day.
Really Peace.

I totally agree that everything is not relative. But enlightenment isn’t a pop quiz, there are many ways.
For me the top 2 spiritual fallacies are.
#1. What works for you will work for other people.
#2. What works for you is actually working for you.
Beyond technique or philosophy, maybe some people have a spiritual knack that takes…[Read more]

IMHO on the issue of ‘No mind’ meditation vs. Energy work, I think Plato is correct in the beginning and in the end. On squaire A, day one, you really ought to work on a smooth clear mind. By squaire’s XYZ you should be running smooth and clear, no techniques or trying. Who can really argue accumulating virtue is bad?
I just think that in…[Read more]
