The thing that I don’t understand is why didn’t Xenu just nuke them where they stood? It seems like a lot of work to move them around like that.

Max has helped convert me on a number of points, and this is one too. As long as breath retention practice is done in moderation and in the context of a good meditation practice the extreme power of it won’t be harmful.
As with all practices, if it doesn’t feel good reduce or eliminate it. It’s not for everyone.
I’d agree… drop all energy intensifying practices. Meditate/inner smile at most. Get crazy… hire a prostitute, go on a trip to a new location, send flowers to somebody at random, etc just to get into a new space.
I found advancedyogapractices.com to be helpful in this debate. The website believes that energy cultivation practice is like plowing the field and meditation is like planting the seed–they work best when done together.
Okay, I looked at the price of Operation Silver and it ain’t bad. If Max and your Mom live to rave about it, I’ll do it. :o)

As Yogani states in AYP, the practice of cutting the tendon is hotly debated and is forbidden by many (most?) schools. It certainly wasn’t publically accessible until recently.
I’ve experienced spontaneous kechari mudra and the soft parts of the tongue do have much better reach in the altered state, but the tendon was still a limiting factor in my case.
I’ll report my experiences whether positive or negative and then we’ll know whether this article is factual or fear mongering.
I wonder what’s up with the Taoist angle on the subject, but haven’t found any references yet. I’m surprised, as they like kinky.

2 months is an aggressive timeline!! I’m just hoping AYP is right that more tendon will continue to present itself so I don’t have to dive into the fleshy section.
I’ll try not, but if I do I won’t be able to warn Max! Maybe Mrs Yoda would be kind enough to get online to tell everyone, but don’t count on it.
