I mainly do embracing the tree. I also do iron shirt II from that posture too. I didn’t find back bend or iron bridge very grounding, but they are definately good for posture.
The stretch in the Iron shirt 1 book with the towel/pillow behind your shoulders and bending back is especially fantastic for posture. I sit a lot at work and it makes…[Read more]

Yes, let me first say that you are right when you say everyone has their own opinions that come from experience. Also that in TCM there is alot of variance anyway, i don’t think there is ONE big picture. It would appear that way from a uni course i should think, however previously i’m sure there were many great TCM doctors that didn’t use the…[Read more]

I’m willing to donate money to you to buy yourself a nice lunch if you ever want to explain your HT meditation into TCM Theory ideas 😉 You’ve answered plenty of questions for me over time.

I agree on every point.
I know the effort required and time spent to teach people. I know the time it takes to write a book.
Thats why even though there are lots of HT books on the internet i bought them all because they are well worth their price.
I think the reason some people don’t want to pay for something is because they read…[Read more]

… Paying a modest amount like for a HT book is win win. Costs pittence and you get alot out of them. I have the whole set of the older books. Also my Tai chi teacher trained me for free for the first 3 months and after not missing a class he agreed to let me pay for instruction.
I think the main thing to check is if the person is teaching for…[Read more]

If students dont pay then generally they hold the teaching in lower regard. However most of the best teachings I’ve had have been free.
I think the main problem with paying is that you dont know if what your getting will be any good until you hand over the money, and even if it is good it may not be for you. Personally, most things i have paid…[Read more]

zoose replied to the topic Fusion: Controlling emotions vs. allowing them (wu wei) in the forum Practice 9 years, 8 months ago
Allowing emotions and different states is fine in wu wei when im on holidays, but i don’t think i could keep my job if i just slept when i felt tired, ate when i wanted to eat and worked hard only when i felt like it.
I like control because i can fit in with my environment, however the wisdom of needing balance of different states and…[Read more]

Wow thanks for your fast reply Steven.
i don’t drink coffee but i drink alcohol on weekends and smoke about 20 cigarettes a month which i feel does effect me for a couple of days after drinking but the high pressure thing is the real killer i am certain, it gets me every time even when i don’t drink for a few weeks. It snowballs because i can…[Read more]

I have no doubt that the pathways are real.
You say the only difference is frequency and intensity.
I find higher frequency energy has less pushing power, and for opening pathways i find denser and lower frequency energy better. It can open the way, while i guess mmm the high frequency energy can show you the way. I understand intuition…[Read more]

Yeah you’re right i had made up my mind. I was after putting my idea across and wanting somebody to change my mind back. People make good points but i’m still of the same mind. HT has helped me immensely for many years and i still enjoy it, i just think in someways it can hinder further development somehow because you’re always on the same course…[Read more]

MMmmm i did everything from books pretty much.
I have had a taichi and qigong teacher but i think really… the books where a great point in the right direction, what i learnt through my own practice is the main part. Seeing, testing, playing around for myself. But it ends up just being a distraction i think, pushing further and further, more…[Read more]

zoose replied to the topic Healing Sounds and Chi Gong for negative emotions in the forum Practice 11 years, 8 months ago
My experience is very different. I find the healing sounds the most effective to reduce my susceptability to any certain emotion. Of course the emotion still gets triggered from the mind but it loses its power and substance if you do the sounds regularly. I find fusion 1 works quickly but at the mental level only and not so solidly. Grounding is…[Read more]

Isn’t a mummified body physically immortal? Physical immortality doesn’t mean that you have to stay alive forever as we know it, but your body could survive decay and be immortal.
I also wonder too…
In chinese tradition it’s good to bury family bones in a good location, on a hill is supposedly good. You can feel the energy in your bones…[Read more]
