Dear Lovers of Self-Love,

We are at a potent moment – Nov. 7 is the midpoint between Fall Equinox and Winter Solstice. This is one of the Eight Great Nodal Points in the annual calendar of natural sacred days. Please honor it by connecting into the heart of Mother Earth and Father Sun via meditation or sacred movement ceremony, perhaps using PrimordialTai Chi.

This caused me to reflect upon the Great Cycle of Time in my life. I started seriously cultivating heart-centered Qi 36 years ago, when I began exploring the path of the Tao in 1980. This marked a personal shift for me from “thinking” (in my head) to embodying (in my whole-body feelings) the energetic changes I wanted to make in my love for life.

The two fundamental conclusiosn I came to over decades of Self-cultivation:

1. All Qi – the subtle breath of the cosmos – is the medium used by Source to express its feeling of love.

But we humans may not recognize Nature Qi as loving us, due to its impersonality.

2. Self-love is the foundation for all other kinds of love.

Self-love is at the root of the Divine love of the Cosmos, the Un-conditional Love of the soul, and the Conditional Love of the personality. Why? Because Self-love is the frequency of love that the heart of the Cosmos is modelling for us humans. This is the meaning of the alchemical maxim, As Above, So Below.

This Cosmos loves itself and all that it creates within its vastness, what we call Creation. IThis Self-Love is continously broadcast from Source to every atom in the body of the universe.

This is why Love is the true currency of all life, not money or power.

The path of returning to Source is the path of Self-love. When you love your body at the deep frequency that the Cosmos loves its body, you have vibrationally returned to Source.

That’s why I titled my book: Primordial Tai Chi: The Way of Enlightened Self-Love.

But how does Tai Chi or Qigong get mixed up in this “love equation”? What is loving about Tai Chi – isn’t it a martial art?

Self-Love is a major theme in my book. I explain how Sacred Movement awakens Self-Love.

All forms of Tai Chi and Qigong involve sacred movement. They are all wonderful and useful. But the intent of different movement forms may give each a very different focus.

Primordial Tai Chi, aka Wu Ji Gong or Primordial Qigong – is an especially powerful kind of sacred movement. I call it a “cosmological qigong” form. It cultivates a more multi-dimensional Qi than martial or medical Qigong/Tai Chi forms. That is built into its design. Even if you are a total beginner and are completely oblivious to what you are invoking, the form works its magic.

Wu Ji Gong, or Primoridal Tai Chi, is a bridge between our heart and the heart of the Cosmos.

WuJi Gong literally means “skill at entering the Supreme Unknowable Mystery”.
