Dear Lovers of High Chi Flow and Summer Fun, Healing Tao Summer Retreats has moved to Mars! That is Mars Hill, N.C., about a half hour north of Asheville in a small town nestled in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. Asheville is a pretty cosmic place, so it’s probably no accident that the highway exit to Mars Hill is just after the exit to Jupiter…. If you are interested in a “far out” place and a fabulous group of fun, independent, high-energy folks, Mars Hill is the place to gather at this summer. We have, as usual, a fabulous list of low-cost retreats with plenty of new exciting listings as well as our famous core curriculum. That includes qigong, tai chi, iron shirt, bagua, and xing yi internal arts, Chi Nei Tsang deep organ massage and a variety of powerful healing programs; Taoist sexual energy cultivation, Taoist Yoga (Tao Yin) and One Cloud’s higher Water & Fire formulas for inner alchemy. The accommodations at our new location look to be even more comfortable than our previous site at Heavenly Mountain. Each room is equipped with ethernet internet and air conditioning that is room-controlled, although the cool temperatures in the Blue Ridge Mountains are usually just perfect.
Our new summer residence at Mars Hill, N.C. So what’s new on our list for this summer? We have Mantak Chia kicking off things with 3 days of seminars in Asheville N.C. on June 13, 14, and 15. He is always a powerhouse of transmission, and not to be missed. Then the full week long retreats begin on Sat. June 18 up in Mars Hill.
Mantak Chia comes to Asheville, N.C. In addition to my Medical and Spiritiual Qigong Fundamentals course, we have in Week 1 a new rising star, Kazzrie Jaxen, who takes qigong, music, and healing to new heights with her Earth Beauty Qigong. She may be presenting a piano concert during that week. Kazzrie’s speciality is putting people under her baby grand piano and then channelling in the exact musical healing they need.
Kazzrie Jaxen in a burst of primordial creativity. In week 3 Zhongxian Wu is introducing a new course, Shamanic 8 Trigram taiji Qigong and Yijing Prediction. His work always digs deep into the roots of ancient Chnese culture. You can warm up for this week with Calligraphy as Qigong in week 2.
Moving brush, moving Qi: Zhongxian Wu’s Calligraphy as Qigong is amazing way to cultivate yourself. Week 3 also premieres Minke de Vos new Medical Qigong Intensive, designed for those who was to do energy healing professionally or to learn more about healing yourself personally. Minke has 25 years experience and has gone through major healing crises herself, including a heart transplant. She has amazingly high and joyful energy. She following that up with Tao Basics and Sexual Energy Yoga. Week 4 has Judith Poole offering her unique integration of enregy psychology and energy healing from a broad spectrum of cutting-edge methodologies. This year she has a second week followup for those who want to go even deeper in their healing process. She takes on the the toughest cases and has great success. Tina Zhang is also offering a powerful medical qigong form in week 4, called Three Treasures Medical Qigong. She hunts down great masters in China every year and sharpens her skills. Her Northern Wu Taijiquan retreat is also an opportunity to study with a nationally high-ranked competition champion teacher.
Tina Zhang gathers the heavenly chi to heal our earthly body. Frank Allen has his usual triple whammy series of bagua and I Ching, Cheng style bagua, and this year Xing Yi (Five Elements Fist), which is one of the most powerful fighting forms to come out of China. Frank has definitely earned grandmaster status with his 37 years experience, and he is still going to China to refresh his skills every year. Frank is one of the sweetest guys I know, who is as interested in health and meditation as he is in fighting. He is someone I definitely would not want to miss if I wanted to master the internal martial arts. In week 5 we have a totally new and exciting offering by long time Taoist adept Lisa Sarasohn. Her retreat is for women only, and has a hot title, Sex and the Sacred Girl: Opening the Mysterious Gate of the Female. Lisa is deep, fun, sensitive, and talented in helpign women to navigate the treacherous shoals of sexuality while simultaneously taking them to new spiritual highs. Open the Macro-Cosmic Orbit by linking chi flow in the Eight Extraordinary (“psychic”) channels. These channels link your pre-natal and post-natal energy bodies, i.e. the deep structure of how you birth yourself each flowing moment.
