Kundalini, Soul Sex & the Quest for Spiritual Orgasm

 

Kundalini is often symbolized as a Serpent Rising around 7 chakras.  For Taoists this could be seen as alchemy process of activating a spiral of Dragon Qi to accelerate Change. In Tao numerology, 7 is the Number of Humanity.

WHAT IS KUNDALINI?

It’s a Hindu term, of uncertain origin. commonly ascribed in Tantric schools (from 9th cen. AD) to a “coiled snake” at the base of the spine. It begins to spiral upwards based on breathing practice, yogic postures, mantra, or other meditation. Some link the term to “chandra”,  the rising full moon pulls the shakti upwards.

From my Taoist perspective, it is simply Qi rising up a core energy channel at an accelerated rate, causing shifts in perception and effecting deep transformation. It could flow around the Micro-cosmic Orbit, or shoot up vertically in the thrusting channel, expandout the crown into a torus (donut) that recirculates around our aura.

There is no fixed way to measure “kundalini”. My definition includes a multi-dimensional awakening, as opposed to an extreme yang or fire Qi rising uncontrolled within one’s current bodily reality. In TCM, this is called False Yang.

I have helped many dozens of clients manage their  over-intense energy. Some are disoriented by an authentic multi-dimensional kundalini, other suffer from False Yang  imbalances that causes insomnia, hallucination, or trigger emotional trauma.

One of the most common causes of “False Yang” pseudo-kundalini is from people trying to stimulate and circulate their sexual energy without proper preparation and grounding.

This is why I ALWAYS warn students to first learn the Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, and Wudang Spinning Pearl Orbit (Qigong Fundamentals 1&2) BEFORE they try to circulate their sexual energy. But many are too impatient, and suffer as a result. Or they use less effective Orbit methods, that do not regulate the sexual energy  (Jing Qi) but only more superficial Qi in organ channels.

This problem is aggravated by some Tao teachers who use sexual energy to force open the Orbit. This is a HUGE and potentially DANGEROUS mistake in my very seasoned opinion of 40 years of teaching (20,000. hours in retreats alone).

Yes, sexual energy is very volatile and can stimulate rapid change and movement of Qi and Jing. But it is also “sticky” and if it goes into the wrong channel or organ it can get stuck there, and become very hard to get out. Especially if it bonds with unconscious emotional patterns, i.e. anger, guilt, victimhood.

I learned this the hard way, early on. I pulled up sexual energy into my head and got a bad head ache for three days that nothing would cure. I had to burn up the energy slowly.  The sex energy did not CAUSE the headache, it AMPLIFIED existing mental tension already in my head from stress.

Alas, some Tao “masters” lack deep understanding of and respect for the cosmic power hidden within sexual energy. They don’t know their students are being injured. Sexual energy is not a quickie “spiritual fix” nor “relationship fix”. It has to be integrated into whole body-mind-soul processes.

Inner alchemists use sexual energy (Jing Qi) as an “elixir”  to initiate transformation, but it must be done in a safe, controlled combustion chamber created within the adept’s Energy Body. This is the progressive training I offer, and my students have NEVER once had an uncontrolled explosion (called “kundalini psychosis”) that damaged their health or derailed their spiritual path.

HOW TO SAFELY AWAKEN  YOUR KUNDALINI

King Tut’s mother’s death mask, with the Uraeus – the Pharoh’s Royal Serpent – rising out of her Third Eye. Kundalini Serpent power is an archetype that links many ancient cultures, including the spiral dragons of imperial China and the “serpent swallowing its tail” , the Oroboros in Greece. The Taoist Orbit is the completion of  the Dragon-serpent power circulating its full Heaven-Earth cycle.

You may find it interesting that it was my use of a Tantric breathing method that triggered a dramatic Kundalini awakening in me in 1979 while I was working as a journalist in Africa. My trying to ground the Kundalini led me to explore Taoist methods, and to help launch Healing Tao and writing seven books with Mantak Chia.

I describe this breathing technique in my Medical and Spiritual Qigong Fundamentals 3&4, and use Tao terminology to explain why it works, but this video below is the most in depth sharing of it. The last 15 minutes are my teaching Deep Earth Pulsing Qigong as the best method to ground either authentic rising Kundalini or False Yang Qi.
