Alexander,
I disagree with ya. Ok?
>>…I have heard of this phenomenon for years and years. Of itself, it’s meaningless.<>If you have sychronicities appear to you when important things happen, that’s fine. I’ve had plenty myself. Whether it’s on a clock or an odometer, it happens. So what?<>I referred previously to the ungroundedness of many new age groups and you took this personally. I wasn’t referring to you. It seems you do not know how widespread the 11:11 thing and all its relatives is.<>Synchronicity is part of experiencing yourself as the wholeness of everything. If it makes you feel good to see a dial tell you certain numbers, that’s OK for the moral support it gives you.<>But I think you know as well as I do that that’s not a truly deep spiritual experience.<>My comment is an expression of my impatience with people’s tendency to get off on these things to their own distraction and loss of concentration on the real thing.<<
Well my comment now is an expression of my impatience with your being all holier-than-thou when someone has something cool happen to them, or when a million people do.
Apologies for grouchiness. j
August 21, 2007 at 3:24 pm #23651voiceParticipantThe 1111 has been around me, but I haven’t noticed it until today (see picture below). I’ll probably see it all the time now. Just like when my wife was pregnant, the world was full of pregnant women. When my son was a baby, the world was full of babies. Now that he plays a Gameboy, all the kids are playing gameboys.
August 21, 2007 at 3:34 pm #23653NnonnthParticipantAugust 21, 2007 at 5:15 pm #23655Alexander AlexisParticipant…you can be right if you want to be.
I don’t think it’s superficial because it’s widespread. I think it’s superficial because it’s “phenomenon” – your word.
I am not belittling “moral support.” It’s important. It’s a kind of encouragement along the way.
You have put me in the position of being the heavy here because of how my words are reaching you. Don’t take it personally.
Here. Let’s test you and see if you can be neutral now:
Jason, I really AM holier than you are.”

August 21, 2007 at 5:33 pm #23657NnonnthParticipantHere’s the thing. Obviously you’ve been hearing about 11:11 for years and you are fedup to the tonsils with it, and you think that it’s a bunch of wank! I don’t that’s all! I want to do some investigating of it because it’s to me yes interesting, an interesting phenomenon, if I investigate something interesting might happen.
Who knows what little astral beasties I might encounter? I might find out something useful, I might want to report it here, somebody like freeform might be interested in it, I don’t know. I’ve met beasties before who were very enlightening. So please don’t spew negativity all over it just when I’m getting interested in it OK? Find something positive to say. I mean I understand you being PO’d at idiots who talk bullcrap but you aren’t sharing a forum with them and you are sharing one with me, ok?
I don’t know about ‘being heavy’, but I do know when someone is shitting all over something, and when they say it’s a ‘complete fabrication’, that they ‘don’t believe it at all in any form’, that’s it’s ‘something people have made up’, that they ‘dismiss’ it because it’s a ‘distraction’ only for ‘ungrounded people’ who are ‘desperate for a spiritual experience’, then I know that’s what they’re doing!
But how can it be a ‘complete fabrication’ when Freeform had never heard of it but was getting it anyhow? And how can it be to do with emotional neediness when Simon V. found it merely irritating??? 🙂 As for me I’m not desperate for experiences I have them every day, and I wouldn’t know a new age channel from the shopping channel. 🙂
Not everyone is into everything everyone else is into, I understand that. But I don’t understand judging a million people one hasn’t met just because they find themselves looking at the clock at eleven minutes past eleven and they don’t know why. That’s not a fabrication a fabrication is a lie. It’s a phenomenon. What’s wrong with a phenomenon or two, makes life interesting!
I do see that if everyone who has the experience then turns into a massive quack it might peeve one off, but I promise not to do that ok?

That's the feeling I had too, AA. Seemed something personal.
Funny thing is a site then says you'll start to notice 12:34, 22:22 etc. I havent had any of these… I completely understand the phenomenon of seeing something you want to see… (I was doing all the experiments Robert Anton Wilson suggested with the number 23.) I know about hypnotic phenomenon – (noticing kids when you have kids – seeing a word you didn't know before all over the place etc) the 11:11 thing seems to be a bit different. It just pops up with no regularity… I dont have any emotional attachments – I get synchronicities weekly – and far more bizzare ones than that – but the number of times 11:11 has popped up is indeed extraordinary. I think I even wrote a post about it over on the Tao Bums forum about a year ago.
There may not be any spiritual meaning in there at all – I dont know – I just do what I do whenever I get any synchronisity – smile, then get on with what I was doing…
August 21, 2007 at 9:54 pm #23661NnonnthParticipant… and the only way to find out what it’s about is to get investigating, plus it’s a chance to try a magical technique I’ve been working on, and I can see if there’s anything to this ‘spirit guardian’ thing or not. I do now get 2:22 and 22:22 but I haven’t had the other ones yet. I think it’s fun! j
August 21, 2007 at 11:11 pm #23663voiceParticipantI did wake up a couple of mornings ago (after the first day of this discussion) at 5:55! This continues my 5 theme: enneagram, name, and birthday!
I hope this means that I live until 2055, at which point I will be a hardy 93, not that I will die at an age of 55 years (which would mean that I have 10 years left – though I’m sure they will be fantastic years!).
August 22, 2007 at 1:32 am #23665StevenModeratorRather than planting a subliminal thought in your head
that you might die at 55 or 93, I think in the theme
of Ragner, a better plan is just don’t die. 🙂Smiles,
StevenAugust 22, 2007 at 3:38 am #23667Alexander AlexisParticipantThis is so fun! Look at all the trouble I’ve started.
Jason, please try not to take me all so seriously.
Harutyun, (great name) thank you for the solid talk.
Chris, please get a clock with no numbers on it.
Steven, are you having fun yet?
Love to all, A
August 22, 2007 at 11:07 am #23669NnonnthParticipantAlexander if you really want me not to take you seriously I won’t, but let me just get this straight ok, simple question. I’m not trying to determine who is right, just what is the truth of the situation. Your idea was that 11:11 is a complete lie, a fabrication people made up. What I am saying is that this is not a good explanation.
So for example suppose Freeform and I both happened to look at the clock last november at 11:11, and it kept happening for days. Neither of us has heard that this is something happening to alot of people. We might consider it unusual, puzzling, annoying, or interesting. But I don’t think we could consider it a fabrication. So please tell me how it is a fabrication, thankyou. j
August 22, 2007 at 4:42 pm #23671Alexander AlexisParticipantJason,
I tried to explain in the original post that I believe that people needed an idea to congregate around to help raise unity consciousness and so the original 11:11 date back in 1992 was born. The movement that was created united a lot of people behind the idea that there was some special power invested in the numbers of that day, month and year and that it signified a huge shift in planetary consciousness. I do not regard that time or any of the other follow-up times to be more special than any of the numerous upshifts the planet has gone through for the last twenty years or so.
My feelings have always told me that it was a fabrication that people needed so they could form another large group revolving around the idea of world change, the new age. People then went crazy with the idea and expanded it all over the place with other numbers and follow-up ideas. I have felt no ground to this at all since the beginning and therefore refer to the whole thing as a fabrication made by people who are ungrounded.
The concentration of energy that has been created from thinking constantly about this has probably put the thought form into the planetary field so strongly that others with little knowledge of the phenomenon pick up on it as if it were some special kind of communication. I do not think it is. I prefer to disbelieve in it and focus on my connection internally to my body, the earth and outward into greater wholenesses. This feels real to me.
It is OK with me if you enjoy the phenomenon. I have a strong personal inclination to beware of getting sucked into externals.
And while I am serious about what I say, I was suggesting to you that you do not take it personally.
Blessings, A
August 22, 2007 at 4:46 pm #23673Alexander AlexisParticipantI will say also that I do see that sometimes things line up and that that can be considered a sign of alignment. People tend to get off on the finger pointing to the moon, however, and then miss “all the heavenly glory” and I have been addressing that and calling it “human immaturity” so to speak.

Just run that by me one more time. I don't know anything about that part of it remember! What date was this and what was supposed to happen? j
