Dear Ricky, I understand your anger, but it may make your situation worse.
With sincere respect to you, Plato and everyone who has used prostate magic, it might help to consider that perhaps one size does not fit all. At least not in the beginning.
I used prostate magic myself. In some ways it helped, in other ways it did not. Timing seemed to be the key.
The formular helps in terms of tonifying the prostate. And I know that Plato did much research into this which I admire.
With my case, I had damp heat and qi stagnation in the lower jiao. So my mistake was in trying to tonify too early. TCM says that we must first clear the ‘evil’ (damp heat) and THEN tonify, or at least exchange between clearing and then tonifying back and forth until the situation is clear.
If we try to tonify too early, the invigoration (ie yin and or yang tonics) can actually exacerbate the situation. For example, the cinnamon bark is used to warm the prostate, it is classified as a hot herb pertaining not only to the kidney (prostate) but also the liver channel. I was getting too hot from it. (itchy scrotum which is the liver channel etc) Also yin tonics are great (he shou wu), but it can make dampness even damper.
Perhaps you have constipation because your prostate and other areas were not ready for the formular yet. From memory, I think the formular also contains shan zhu yu, another great herb for the jing and kidney/prostate, but if you have stagnation, it can block you up even more. So, depending on the bodys’ current situation, the formular can be very beneficial or not so beneficial. In the begining it was perhaps making my situation worse, now it would do me good.
An individual, weekly diagnosis can help determine what your present needs are. I assume that at some stage, the formular will probablly help, I mean it’s a great tonic. You may need to clear and open the area a little first and start with some more gentle yang tonics ie cinnamon twig instead of cinnamon bark, for example.I do not intend to claim any great aurthority on this or any other matter, I just wanted to share what I have learned from my experience.
Respects to you and Plato.mat
January 29, 2006 at 9:01 pm #9992Michael WinnKeymasterMat,
Let me be the one that breaks the news to you. ricky is not a real person. he is split off aspect of either Max or Plato’s persona that has not yet quite been integrated by Chan meditation on the illusion of self. But your politeness to Ricky, and your willingness to give him a “self”, and plato or max by extension, is nonetheless touching. You are making a very important point here about the problem with all bottled herbal medicine.
Everyone is unique, and traditionally herbalists would modify your herbal formula every few days to deal with the changes. So taking one formula for too long can cause side effects or be counter productive. This danger has to weighed against the danger of using western medicine – heavy drugs, surgery, etc. which have even worse sideeffects.
so the best soluton is to get advice regularly from a qualified chinese herbalist, the older the better.
It takes about 12 years to learn chinese herbology.michael

Maybe with a written forum like this, when you can’t hear the tone in someones’ voice or look into their eyes, it can be difficault to determine their sincerity. I just trusted that all these posts were legit.
Thanks for breaking the news Michael, it now seems kinda funny in a way.
But seriously, your answers to our questions are always so helpful, including that one on suicide the other day. That was very nice.– mat

This is “Ron Jeremy” fucking around, which I find amusing. I just didn’t think anyone would actually think it was real. LOL!!!
BTW, I do agree with you that one size does not fit all. 🙂

Then again, I studied it for over 12 years. LOL!!!
