Hey guys,
just curious as to why Mantak Chia works with the 9 palaces & 9 Alchemical formulas and Michael Winn uses 7 stars & 7 formulas? Are there correlations between the stars/palaces & the formulas? Did Mantak Chia add formulas after Michael completed his training? If he did were those formulas also part of One Clouds formulas or did they come from another teacher altogether? I am just curious because as I research the 9 palaces I have found that Mantak Chia has a lot of references and connections with the 9 palaces and Michaels version of the formulas doesnt seem to reference them very much. Is that a matter of preference or is it just that Mantak Chia didn’t add the 9 palace stuff till later? Again just wondering about the different expressions of the formulas. ThanxPeace & Tao
ShenchiI had wondered before why Mantak Chia started to say that there are nine levels, but if you carefully look at his cirriculum on his website and Michaels cirriculum, it’s the same core materials, just organized differently, and different qigongs too. I think that Master Chia has Microcosmic Orbit (with inner smile and healing) sounds, Fusion, and Healing Love as their own formulas, while Michael has them categorized as part of Formula 1.
As to the correlation of the Palaces and Stars, I do not know if that’s the case (but i’m not saying it’s not the case). Many traditional Taoists say there are 9 levels, but some also don’t really number the levels, some have other numbers, etc. I also found it interesting that 7 is a very important number is Western alchemy, where the process of dissolving and binding is done seven times, but i do not know if that was an intentional correlation.

ShenchiYou’re welcome, Shenchi. May I ask, is the 9 Palaces qigong that you do a stepping pattern that’s a square with nine segments? Does this qigong somehow have to do with the 9 Palaces on top of one’s head, or is it more of a cosmological thing, or both? Could you please give us more info on the 9 Palaces qigong you do, or other similar 9 Palaces qigong.
Also, I think there is one or more versions of the Pace of Yu that somehow incorperates both the 9 Palaces and the 7 Stars, but when I was researching it I didn’t fully understand it, but that may be something you want to look into. The site I’m linking to below is actually quite extensive, I have only read a small amount, and you can see at the top there’s a small menu to even more I Ching stuff.

what I am doing is a 9 Palace Ba Gua Zhang form that uses a very old stepping pattern(yes, it is said to date back to the pace of Yu), unfortunately it is kind of secretive. I am not supposed to talk about it too much, but let’s just say the stepping pattern itself is undeniabley powerful. I am just trying to figure out how deep it goes as I have just started the training and I havn’t gotten all the info yet. My speculation is that it can be used as an Alchemy system all its own…. but I shouldn’t say anymore. It’s very cool though and I have a feeling it will help me to further integrate my Nei Dan & Ba Gua practices.Anyway thanx for the info when I get the ok to teach this stuff I will let you know more about it.Peace & Tao

erauqS kijaMEveryone has a different approach to the act of love making. Some start in the deep earth and work there way out others coming from the cosmos work there way into the deep earth, often I find this is cultural. I find Mantaks Chias additions need to be placed on a foundation of simple deep imitate love making. It is easy to avoid greater intimacy through over complicating sex. Seven is the number of humanity. Yes we are odd. 🙂 Seven also relates to the big dipper, the seven sisters or Pleiades. Cultures claim through out the world that Pleiades was important to our development. We might just be playing with advance pleiaden bio technology and its operating system when doing Qigong and Nei Dan Gong. 😉
Interesting, I heard that there is a Taoist belief that the different human races come from different stars of the Big Dipper (some of the stars having partner stars that we can’t see with normal eye sight).

First you send me pix of you taking it up the butt, then pix of you getting fisted, now your posting vids of your inner colon. Look I know you have a man crush on me but I’m just not into that. I have nothing against it it’s just not my thing. If you want to find somebody to explore your inner colon I am sure there are plenty of peeps in hollywood that would be into that, hey maybe some of your training buddies at your gym could help you out. Anyway good luck with that, I am sure it won’t be too hard, I heard the leather boys are into mongaloid pirates. AHOY MATEY!!!Allot of earth centered traditions also had the stars in the earth. From the Faery magic tradition in Ireland to Taoists in China. You can see this reflected in The Seven Step from. Hang with the earth and the heavens come to you. I always pay attention when I see the same story or tradition all around the world.
There were only 7 formulas originally. Mantak asked me last month if I would agree to re-structure my site to match his shift to 9 – the same material sequence, but breaking it up into smaller chunks. He wants me to re-write and clarify the formulas in the process.
I am considering it, the first formula is quite large now.
It’s not related to 9 palaces, which is purely a practice issue.
