advanced practice and the Basis of Astrology

This interests me alot. I’ve never gotten any satisfying answers on why astrology would work.
At some point in your practice, do you get the how?
And what is it then?
Most of the stuff seems like bogus anyway, with little logic behind it.

Is it at that stage possible, without drawing a horoscope, to experience other people’s personal astrology as an alchemical flux?
